RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Paplane - 04-05-2022 (04-05-2022, 01:35 PM)Sausage Roll Wrote: The big man called Colin Fray of BBC Radio Nottingham after his match tonight. This tweet doesn't contain the actual call, but Fray says that EM wanted to 'express his frustration at the decisions of the referee and the federation (the EFL for not supporting Forest over the original postponement of the match).' If I were Atwell I'd be checking my brakes over the few days! RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - wassy04 - 04-05-2022 Pretty funny that this is probably the 2nd or 3rd interview we've ever heard and it's about dodgy refereeing. EDIT, upon listening I realise he hasn't actually spoken. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 04-05-2022 Well done to EM he has said what everybody else has been thinking. How many times have we played against 12 men this season. Massive decisions in massive games like Bournemouth and Luton have gone against us. I am glad EM has spoke up about it. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ozzyten10 - 04-05-2022 You could argue that we’ve had the run of the green a few times too. West Brom for example. However, last night was a stinker of a decision and had a massive impact on the game. Same too can be said of Luton. The pen was harsh - considering Bournemouth in the next game on TV had x2 similar handballs not given against them and then the perfectly good goal we scored. It’s gone now. Use it as a motivator. The Bournemouth cancellation though is proper cheating. They had a number of players out that day who played last night. We played games when we were riddled with covid. The pen was harsh - considering Bournemouth in the next game on TV had x2 similar handballs not given against them and then the perfectly good goal we scored. Against West Brom we got a dodgy throw in which directly led to a goal scored as they were switched off. However we were 1-0 up against 10 men at that point so I don't believe it really impacted the final result. Both the red card and penalty were clear-cut, in fact the defender was lucky to avoid a straight red despite the booking he already had. Not sure it's comparable but there probably are some earlier in the season we're glossing over right now. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 04-05-2022 We will have had plenty decisions go our way too. If you want some evidence check the opposition fans thread, full of moans where other teams reckon they should have had a penalty or our players should have been booked or sent off. Is our whinging more valid than theirs? There is a separate point about poor refereeing standards across the board that should be addressed and I maintain that Bournemouth should have been heavily punished for the original abandonment possibly to the extent of a points deduction however EM cant blame last night’s result on the referee. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Plymouth red - 04-05-2022 It was a mistake, everyone accepts it. It doesn't make it any better but every team, at every level will be victim of a referree error. Whether it affected the lads second half or whether it was just a stronger Bournemouth side v tired legs... who knows. But it doesn't matter now. It's over and as I've said, the squads reaction v Hull will be telling. Hopefully we'll get the rub at a critical moment in the playoffs. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 05-05-2022 Don't want to turn this thread into a thread about refs. All I am saying is that I am glad that EM has spoken up and this is the EM thread. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Redgirl - 05-05-2022 I can understand his frustration. I’m still angry about it and I’m not potentially going to lose millions. I bet he’s livid. Glad he’s spoken out, he hasn’t just spoken for NFFC but for all clubs who’ve lost games to dodgy decisions. I'm also glad he spoke about the EFL allowing a postponement by Bournemouth under dubious circumstances. Iliked the fact that he mentioned that too because it was very dodgy. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-05-2022 Great to see young Milto on the pitch with a Greek flag after the match. He obviously didn't read the chairman's letter! |
