So he didn't even have to get an entire new squad to click and still had a worse win percentage :P RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - PsychoStooge - 02-09-2018 (02-09-2018, 01:08 PM)NG3 Wrote:(02-09-2018, 12:58 PM)PsychoStooge Wrote: Brian Clough had a win % of 24.1 after his first 29 games. 7 wins from his first 29. Not really comparing just highlighting that the greatest manager in the history of this club also got off to a rough start before turning it round, sometimes it just takes a while which is why any talk of sacking Karanka is massively premature. Horrifying in fact. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-09-2018 Wow. Worse than Megson, thats quite an achievement. I do still trust AK though, will be hugely disappointed if he doesnt get the season. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Alf - 02-09-2018 Some great points made in this thread. When folk say "2 year plan" I always assume the fact that said plan is a proper build - buy & blood. Get 5/6 players in, blood them alongside others, wait until next window, do it again. That way you aren't changing too much at once, but are also keeping things fresh & giving players chance to cement themselves. Under AK the mass influx has left us as shakey as we were when he arrived. Folk keep touting this "organisational skill", but I've yet to see it tbh, it looks very much like trial by error, with basics. But we are where we are. And if we change manager it'll have to be for someone who can work with a squad we have. I genuinely can't think of anyone who could take this side to the top 6 without..........course i can Billy Davies :) RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - ozzyten10 - 02-09-2018 I think he will have to drop Fox. Despite him ‘looking’ good further analysis shows that the majority of goals have come from his side in the inside left pocket between him and left back. I think you have to look at him now as changing full back has not helped! RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Kylos247 - 02-09-2018 His awareness sometimes is off. He may have been able to do more for their second goal. But let's not forget he also prevented a 1vs1 during the game. He's been outstanding if you ask me, when the whole team has let us down we can't use him as a scapegoat.. what about the lack of challenge before to prevent the cross for their goal?? I actually think chopping and change is not the answer, we need stability in the back line now when things aren't going our way. The majority of our problems lie in the centre of the park...... RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - JC21 - 02-09-2018 If I was in charge of appointing a manager, would I choose Billy Davies? probably not If Billy Davies was appointed as manager for the 3rd time, would I be unhappy? I don't think I would. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - ozzyten10 - 02-09-2018 (02-09-2018, 03:41 PM)Kylos247 Wrote: His awareness sometimes is off. Don’t disagree with centre mid but just look back on all goals conceded. The same space is attacked by all teams. First osborn got the blame then Robinson. It may have to do with the way we are asking our full backs to bomb on. You may also have a point with stopping the cross at source but just take a bit of time and look at the evidence of our conceded goals. Trouble is he is our only left footed ch unless robinsonnson goes there |
