I agree Dunc. I have been thinking about this also.
I did think about everyone PM'ing me their predictions, BUT! we also need to be transparent, so there is no suggestion of foul play on our part (not that there would be anyway). Based on those lines, I suggest to the whole group, that for the final 3 (or 4?) matches, predictions are made to my PM, with you and JBL copied in, so there is some form of transparency still in place, and the scores can still be published afterwards, as they are now.
What does everyone else think? Other suggestions would be warmly welcomed.

What about an extra prediction in the last game if its still tied at the top, predict what minute 1st substitution Forest make in the game, we can take the official minute what Forest Twitter says.
Whoever is closest gets an extra point.

If this is the way we go, all the predicted scores to be put on the Thread immediately after KO and thread closed

Still a long way to go till the end of the season and plenty of opportunity for the lead to change hands but if I'm still in or around the chasing pack, I'd be happy to comply with whatever system was put in place. For me, Tricky's proposal with people's predictions pm'd to Tricky and several others seems simple and suitably transparent and verifiable.

Think you need to read back a page Oz to see exactly what we are on about. It wouldn't be right for the leader to copy the scores of his closest rival so that he couldn't be caught.

In all fairness, the ideal situation would be that there are 5,6,7 players all in with a chance of winning the league, which would be impossible for the leader to replicate all of the predictions, but, there is also that possibility that it boils down to one or two in with a chance.
Obviously, we don't know what the score is going to be in any given match, hence the Predictions League, so these precautions may be immature and not warranted, but that may not be the case.
As the organisers, it is better that we cover all scenarios to ensure a fair outcome to the league, than have to deal with the consequences of any unsporting or malicious attempts to win the league, and the prize money that is accompanying it this season. It is also better if we do it now, rather than if that scenario should arise.
As Sniffer has stated, this isn't directed at anybody in particular, but is just a safeguard to ensure a fair climax to the league.
