Why are you trying to downplay what Brazil has achieved?

Towing the club line?

As a comparison please tell me how many Premier League players and Internationals Derby’s Category 1 academy has achieved?
I will give you a start, Will Hughes. Next?

I am simply putting up facts for discussion purposes.

I like Gary and would be happy for him to stay.

Why does there always have to be some kind of interior motive attached to my posts?

I have given you facts

You stated there were only 3 Premier League players developed in recent years
I have given you 11
There will be 12 next season counting Anel Ahmedhozic.

Feel like you are trying in some way to justify Brazil’s departure.

Derby have produced some decent players so I will name a few.

Will Hughes
Lee Camp
Lee Grant
Chris Riggott
Marcus Tudgay
Tom Huddlestone
Jeff Hendrick
Max Lowe
Lee Buchanan
Festy Ebosele
Luke Plange

Like I said every club and every Academy manager in the country has produced players. You make it sound like it's unique only to us. In comparison to some others Brazil has done well and in comparison to even more his results are not something special.

Sorry SM I am not sure but I may just have deleted one of your posts I was trying to reply to.

Apologies if I have it was an accident as I was typing a reply and then it all disappeared.

No I stated a handful have been PL standard.

Many players on that list you made are when Paul Hart and Nick Marshall were at the club.

I am not trying to justify GB's departure. I just don't think that over a 10 year period that his record is as great as some others think it is.

Away from the debate over players.

Forest beat West Brom 3-0 last night to get into the PL2 play off final where we will play Leeds.

Win that and the U21’s are in PL1 next season

However I also think it's worth pointing out that our outstanding Academy was put in motion long before Gary Brazil.

Paul Hart and later Nick Marshall transformed our Academy and put our Academy on the map.

Gary Brazil has been in charge for 10 years now and we have seen a handful of talents break through in all that time who have gone on to play at the highest level. Not a huge amount for a period of 10 years. Matty Cash, Brennan Johnson and Yates all PL standard but is there anyone else? Worrall, Osborn and Burke all Championship level in my opinion.

Compare that with the likes of Michael Dawson, Jermaine Jenas, Andy Reid, Karl Darlow, Steve Stone, Scot Gemmill, Wes Morgan, Jamaal Lascelles, Marlon Harewood etc who all came through under Hart and Marshall. Then there was the likes of David Prutton and Gareth Williams etc.

I think there is a bit of food for thought.

That's is perfectly true, Sniffer, but you overlook one important fact - the fact that the poisonous dwarf ran the Academy into the ground in a very short space of time - Davies had no time for the Academy and took great pleasure in sacking Marshall and Pemberton; he probably did not get as much pleasure as Pemberton did when he floored the gobshite.

He got his brother in law in to run the Academy and got game time for his sons; to say he adopted a scorched earth policy is an understatement.

Hart may have been the architect of the Academy, and Marshall took it to new heights, but the manner in which Brazil recovered the situation, with two Cat 1 Academy's on the doorstep, was nothing short of remarkable.

Yes JCK that is correct and I agree with what you said Thumb

Academy side getting a bit of a pasting from Leeds in the PL2 final. Though Leeds club record signing is one of the scorers so I'm guessing they've played a strong side.
