I think there is a fear that our previous record (over nearly 10 years is it now?) Suggests our traditional December blip could result in us losing a manager that appears to have a good idea what he is doing.
In fairness, some of the comments (primarily on Twitter and other forums) show that despite many years that should show us otherwise, we have (online at least) lost the ability in many quarters to ride out a blip, or even a bump.
At the ground support for Sabri is strong. Comments like season over and the like in December are such bollox and it can become a self fulfilling prophecy- like the sheep post Christmas collapse.
As Sabri puts it, we are in a bad moment, if we haven't learnt by now that sacking the manager is not the way forward, then the "know nowts" will get what they deserve.
Are we in a relegation battle? No. Have we got the players to pull us out if this blip? Yes, especially if reinforcements arrive after Christmas. Will we go up this year? Probably not. Will we stand a decent chance of going up next year? Probably-so long as we dont start the whole f@#$ing cycle all over again.
As others have said previously, this is not football manager, Fifa or whatever game youngsters play now, this is real. Footballers have dips in form, bad luck occurs, some clubs suffer more than other's with injuries-especially crucial ones.
This club is on the up, it's not going to be a straight line, but a roller coaster.

Good post Zico. I think the problem is not the fans as such. I couldn’t remember anyone calling for Karankas head and MON I think had done enough to have had a go this season... I think Sabri has done Well with what he has. We are very short for attacking options. The home form is the problem- big gates and a lack of performances and results. The hard core that go home and away have a more balanced view. Improvement is needed and we need to create more clear cut chances but to suggest another change is madness. It is not going to improve us.

The only murmurings of discontent which can be heard are those on line; the fact that the people who insist on venting their collective spleens happen to think they are holding a majority view point suggests to me that they do not attend games.

Warburton wasn’t very good, and wasn’t the owners manager. Sticking with him for 2.5 seasons would have been a waste of time and money.
Karanka was the only disappointing loss because he would have got us up, but, he walked. So what can you do.
I don’t see any reason that they will sack Lamouchi unless something has gone off behind the scenes that we aren’t aware of.

If we'd have stuck with Warbs and backed him we'd have landed McGinn & James. 60m+ worth of players. By sacking him and employing AK instead we invested 16m in players nowhere near as good. Far bigger investment in far less quality.
Neither manager took us up, neither could even get us to the playoff positions for more than a few weeks. If you're gonna stay average, you at least want the manager who has you average & is making the club money, not spending wads & bringing in shed load of players to cluter up the wage bill, and hinder further promotion pushes.
If we had McGinn & James now Mouch would stand a better chance at going up than with Carvalho. We'd also get far more for them if we had to sell.
Like I say, it's done with now anyway. Here's to 2020

If we’d have stuck with Warburton we’d have been relegated, or he’d have jumped ship like he did at Rangers. I much prefer the judgement of our owners over the opinion of some of our fans who would have stuck with the poor managers we’ve had.

There is an interview with McGinn’s agent confirming he was ready to sign and that we pulled the plug.
