He's been outstanding if you ask me, when the whole team has let us down we can't use him as a scapegoat.. what about the lack of challenge before to prevent the cross for their goal?? I actually think chopping and change is not the answer, we need stability in the back line now when things aren't going our way. The majority of our problems lie in the centre of the park......

He has been the main constant over the last 18 months in the what is consistently the worst defence I have ever watched.

A bit harsh maybe as individually he has seemed to be excellent. But evidence is building from actual goals conceded. Try daws and Hefele, but not against a nippy fella!

Can’t escape the fact of how many goals we have conceded and how we have conceded them over the last 18 months.

Not many teams will go to Brentford and score three goals but that’s what we had to do to win the game due to us giving goals away. Again.

Cheap goals.

SA.

We have tightened up defence, but not well enough & completely at the expense of attack. Currently we're playing a poor version of Dougie Freedman football, with a better squad of players, but a worse set of results.

We need to recenter & rebalance.

Absolutely spot on mate.

Thing is, it doesn't need a massive change, just a few basics sorting out & for me another forward.

We could still actually go up this year if the right moves are made.

There is nothing to suggest the defence has been tightened.

It may look better as a unit but it’s still woeful.

Apart from 2 games against teams who were open and assumed would play us off the park*  I've seen no evidence that we're any better equipped to finish higher than mid table.  The top 2 clubs are away,  the shaggers will soon be joining them.

We're playing for 6th and unless something clicks, we're no way going to get that.

* West Brom and Newcastle.  Both came here with an arrogant approach and with no regard to how we might perform and suffered. We did well because we were allowed to.  Teams with a game plan are generally being successful against us.

I agree. Good squad, easily top half - I thought a very good chance at top 6, but with the loss of Brereton and no replacement we've hobbled our flexibility and options up front.

Negative on how the squad is used.

We've replaced Brereton

I'd suggest that's because we've barely seen anything from our front 4, yet, predominantly due to lack of connection to the back 6, & particularly in the centre. Look at how much of the threat we've offered has come from the likes of Cash, Soudani, Lolley, Dias etc., creating for themselves, rather than being fed by the team. It's why our #9 is isolated & our flanks targeted & exposed.

Agreed, I think there's good potential in there.

I noticed we were relatively high on dribbles in those Brentford match stats. Recall Lolley and Cash running with it trying to make things happen - mostly into dead-ends or off the pitch - probably partly cos we don't have options.

I like the look of Carvalho - on the ball but also he shows a good work rate - but to get the best out of him we need possession of the ball and he needs options around him that he can find. Defensive selections make them all look worse than they are. But there's hope!

Ah, the Iranian guy from Oly? Sorry. Fingers crossed on that one then.

RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - TEScott - 03-09-2018

He’s got 3 games for me. He’s got two weeks off now to sort this mess out and then he has 2 home games in 3. I was a minimum of 7 points from them 3 games. The football has been dreadful, his signing either look like they’ll take a long time to settle or they look poor. He’s left us short upfront and sold a good prospect even though he probably won’t be here come Christmas.

RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - the jock - 03-09-2018

I completely understand where everybody is coming from.

I just don't want to switch managers anymore. I am tired of it and it hasn't gotten us anywhere further .
