Yep, lets see what he can do with a better squad. IMO the true test of a coach is can he make players improve. Sabri has that. Cash, Worrall, Figs, Yates, Watson, Grabban, Ameobi all players who were at the club when he arrived and who have improved since.

Ivo Vieira, Marco Silva, Jardim (especially if the Monaco prince comes), Rui Vitoria and Diego Martinez. I am sure they would all be very high on our list if a vacancy became available.

Not one game of Championship experience between them and Silva's the only one who's ever managed in this country.

No thanks. Stick with Sabri. He's made costly mistakes, which I put down to lack of championship experience, but he'll have hopefully learned by them. No matter how good they are, the other coaches will go through the same learning curve which Sabri has done.

Yep was going to say the same, championship is a unique league. Seems to be a big advantage to having experience, hence why Carvalhal fits the bill so well.

I get that and I see where you are coming from but I'm not a great believer in that. If Sabri was to leave I don't think we should nor will we only hire a manager with Championship experience.

The problem (which I hope wont happen) is that yet again we would be back to square 1, new manager learning about a new squad, a new club, a new league, a new country. He will bring in his own staff, want to create his own mark, his own style of play, bring in his own players.

It takes time for anyone. Lamouchi has been doing this for a year and has been learning. cannot see any point in bringing in one of the above, Instant success does not happen.

Can we change the title of the thread as every time I log on I think Sabri has gone

Perhaps , Sabri hasn’t left the building...yet

I shouldve been starting back to work next week after sheilding for what seems like an eternity only for my boss to ring me up earlier to say that I cannot be allowed back to work until I have undertaken a well being session with some occupational health specialist, which could take another week or two to get me booked in!
Enjoy your pint Widdow, I may pop up to our local brewery on Friday and have a couple myself (weather permitting!)

Change the manager now.......start the season bad............Owner will be slaughtered.

Dont change the manager now.......start the season well.........Owner will be a hero.

Dont change the manager now.......start the season bad........sack the manager.........everyone happy.

Sabri will be in charge at the start of the season, he will be told top 2 is the only place we can be after 10 games. Or your gone.

I think any kind of a poor start and he's in trouble. If, after 5 or 6 games, the performances have been poor and we're mid table, he'll be gone. You just cant wipe the slate clean and ignore our poor record since we beat Leeds in February. To use Sabri's own words, the start of next season is his money time.
