For those who don't know Cordon you should check him out. Very well respected and has vast knowledge of the Spanish leagues and the South American market.

Must admit I had never heard of him Sniff but after giving him a google his CV is impressive.

It looks like he turned down Villa and Barcelona before joining Olympiacos.

EM and Cordon both flew into Athens yesterday. I would imagine that Steve will be joining them any day now for a get together/meeting.

Reckon its going to be looking positively to the future or a bit of a showdown Sniff?

I think there will be a bit of a showdown and there will be some things said from both sides.

Fingers crossed that won't be a bad thing and they can solve their differences and move on together at NFFC.

I am more confident of Steve staying now then I was one month ago but it is not a foregone conclusion.

Assume Steve not altogether happy that he was about to be sacked at 2 different points in the season. He needs to realise that’s the reality of life for any PL manager though.

Didn't know where to put this. But Spanish journos saying we have offered or spoke to Andoni Iraola about managing us. Guess it's an oly mix up?

This will happen a lot now Cordon is working with EM.

Olympiakos are looking for a manager and he will probably be a Spaniard.

However Iraola has a dream to manage in the PL and he speaks English too.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 02-06-2023

Iraola has announced he is leaving Vallecano some time ago. Leeds were interested when they sacked Marsch and are likely to approach him again.

Yes, don't think he will go to the Championship though.

Hope EM and Steve get things sorted.

Now don't laugh and take the piss because I am only passing it on...

This is NOT from my Greek football journalist mate nor is it from my family member who works in EM's circle (my two usual sources).

I think it might have originated from the Turks but a lot of the Greek press have picked it up this morning so I thought it was worth mentioning although of course I am taking it with a huge pinch of salt.

The 'news' (if that is the right word) is that EM has been in contact with Mourinho and actually sent him a proposal.

I was impressed by his story where he came to Nott'm stealth just to see the Brian Clough statue in the dead of night.

Sniff, do we know if it is in relation to Greece or England? Thanks
