RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Mad Squad - 07-07-2020 Great rousing speech to rally the troops from Sabri yesterday. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - stirred - 08-07-2020 Not sure he'll do it, but I'd like to see players rested for Preston. We looked like we need it. We've got 8 days until Swansea, that will give them a decent breather. Then go full strength at Swansea, and again Barnsley 3 days later. Good chance play-offs are confirmed after those 2 games in 4 days, so we can rest again for Stoke, giving us 8-9 days until the play-offs begin, relatively fresh and without risking injury just before it. Swansea play Leeds 3 days before us, and Swansea have to go for results every match chasing the play-offs, so we'd have a freshness advantage over them. Ditto Barnsley, who also have Leeds 3 days before us, and are desperate for points to avoid relegation. Those 2 clubs will be probably be thrashing themselves into the ground each match, not sure on their squad depth, presumably weak for Barnsley. The play-off sides will consist of one club who may have pushed to the wire to scrape in or maintain a place, e.g. Cardiff. With a bit of luck Brentford and Fulham will be close enough that they keep pushing for an automatic place. We could be the only club who have rested our players, and have the freshest first team for the play-offs. Give some of our first team a rest for the Preston match Sabri, it's a risk worth taking for our promotion prospects. You could come out of this looking a tactical genius! He could do Stirred, or he could get a new arsehole ripped out for him, the same as he has had previously when he has tried to rotate the squad. I do agree with you though, he does need to rest up a few players. Lolley, definitely for one. Watson, Grabban, Sami Ammi? Give some of the fringe players a run out, but what should he do if Derby win tonight? They could put us under a whole heap of more pressure! Agree with this too, hopefully we'll get some help today with other results anyway. I think rotating makes sense given how tired they looked yesterday. Might get a better result! RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - stirred - 11-07-2020 I was pleased Sabri gave a few players a rest, I was quite firmly of the opinion that some players needed it. Lolley, Cash & Figs got a rest but still a strong side and decent if unspectacular performance. A draw will do from that fixture. Hopefully we'll reap some benefits from that decision against Swansea on Wednesday. Plus game time to Dawson and Jenkinson as you never know we might need them. Important players rested and we still got a result. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 16-07-2020 I thought Sabri got the subs spot on last night versus Swansea and his half time team talk worked a treat. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - wassy04 - 19-07-2020 If we lose on wednesday and Swansea do overtake us then Sabri might get sacked. Crazy decisions today RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - ThePromisedLand - 19-07-2020 The Cowley’s are available... RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - wassy04 - 19-07-2020 I just could never have imagined before today that I'd even be considering the idea of Sabri leaving |
