Silva was different class and has the heart of a lion!

RE: Our Iberians - Portchester Tricky - 09-11-2019

When we go up we will have Silva and Carvalhao who will benefit from the extra time on the ball and space that Premier league players have, due to the lessened intensity of the game. No need to invest in that part of the team. So many teams are promoted, and then struggle in the Prem because they have the players without the necessary technical skills
and mental flexibility. At one time in todays game we had 4 Portuguese players on the pitch at the same time. I have been watching Forest since just before BC and PT. I am generally a glass half full merchant. But putting this aside, I now feel that what we have now, and what we can add in January will give us the most successful side since those Halcyon days of BC and PT. COYR.

Thought all the Iberians involved today were excellent. Riberio is a superb left back, Silva outstanding today and Carvs did very well off the bench.

Catching up on the carvalho debate, one thing I wanted to point out when people discuss the fee. You can’t just say we’d have been able to spend the money on Oliviera, Grosicki etc. Signing 4/5 players will cost much more than £13m when you include their wages/agents/signing on fees plus transfer fee.

It hasn’t worked out so far but you get injuries, suspensions etc. I think the position carvalho played when he came on is his best opportunity to play. Lolley hasn’t been as good and him/ameobi will need rest. Carvalho coming in off the right with cash overlapping could be quite effective.

Silva has definitely won the attacking central midfield role though, superb yesterday hopefully will add a few goals/assists too in the future

Nice to see Carvalho on the scoresheet.

Silva is really growing into the Championship and starting to look like a class act.

Figs now back to his best like he was before his injury last season.

I keep reading (not on here) that we might be losing our star player to Trabzonspor.

On what basis is Carvalho our star player?

Also Chema rumoured to be interesting clubs in Spain.

On the basis that such false advertising might get us a few more quid for him.  :D

RE: Our Iberians - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-12-2019

Chema never really had a chance to show what he can do to be fair to him.

RE: Our Iberians - ThePromisedLand - 14-12-2019

Except - in the Hull game - he showed himself to be susceptible in the air. Not a good thing for a centre back - and with Fletcher starting & Nuhiu on the bench today was not tailor made for him to play?

Not star player... most expensive flop maybe...Sabri is giving him another chance today, will he perform?

Yes.  A chink in the armour.

To be honest I hope that they do move on Carvalho, just got back in after watching that shite, and he really is not interested, if we can get a decent fee for him, I'd snap their arms off.

We need better than him, someone who puts in a shift, he is a player that offers a lot but shows you nothing, but to be fair to him, our defence was shocking, Dawson for me needs benching, we looked better with Figs in the team, even Chema offers more than Dawson, sorry for the rant.
