Cash 7.5 - looked fine and hungry Ribeiro 7 - his height was targeted by them initially. Worrall 7.5 - looked fine and excellent block Fig 7 - Looked tired at the end and at fault for their goal - terrible defending at the end. Yates 6 - not good Silva 7 - did the job he was asked to do well Johnson 6 - poor Ameobi 6 - poor Lolley 7 - would have been a 6 but he scored a goal, so gets a 7. Grabban 6.5 - worked fairly hard. Johnson and Ameobi were the issue for me - lack of creative spark. Had it been Mighten and Carv in place of those two, perhaps a win. RE: Match Player Ratings - the jock - 21-06-2020 Agreed jwjw. On another note Johnson seems to have bulked up RE: Match Player Ratings - Salvatore Matrecano - 21-06-2020 Was it just me that thought Johnson did pretty well, especially considering the circumstances and that it was his full debut. Carvalho must really be wondering if he will ever get on the pitch though. RE: Match Player Ratings - JWJW - 21-06-2020 I think Johnson needs to be eased into playing, like using him at the start of next season. When you have a few games left and you should be trying to win them all, perhaps not the best time for a debut. He did ok, did not disgrace himself in any way, just kind of average. The team performance was very very average. I can understand with Watson and Sow out that perhaps Sabri went for safe to get a point, however, we needed more spark. We needed some creativity. RE: Match Player Ratings - Superreddamo - 21-06-2020 I thought Yates distribution on 2 occasions was awful yesterday, once at the end of the 1st half when we were overloaded and he chipped a ball to the keeper and then second half when he had Lolley in all sorts and played a hospital pass. He’s a big lad and gets stuck in but was a liability. RE: Match Player Ratings - ozzyten10 - 21-06-2020 Yates was very poor - he cone edged possession every time he attempted a forward ball and is so slow with sideways and backward balls it encourages the oppositions press. He gets stuck in though! I thought Johnson played well and showed glimpses of his potential. He reminds me of Jermaine Jenas. Disappointed at the end and in hindsight I’d have put Dawson on. When you have a few games left and you should be trying to win them all, perhaps not the best time for a debut. We seem to have a lack of strength in depth, especially midfield/wide-men. Semedo has had his chances and Diakhaby hasn't looked much. If that's the best we have I think we're going to struggle, especially in a 5 subs world. I'd rather give game time in the run-in to Mighten and Johnson hoping they develop quickly. And if we don't get promoted, that experience should help for next season. I'm not complacent about reaching the play-offs at all, but we have a 5 point gap and now realistically aren't going to catch 2nd, and the loan signings have frankly failed, so now would seem an excellent time to play those youngsters. RE: Match Player Ratings - Strawberry Avenger - 21-06-2020 1 win in 6. Not having Sow in the side has proved damaging. Each time he's out the side Forest start treading water. And he was missed yesterday. But he's still carrying a long term injury. We will do well to hold top 6 without him. SA. RE: Match Player Ratings - ozzyten10 - 21-06-2020 Samba- 7 hopeful he is not injured. Cash -8 dealt with a Ricky winger well and what a ball for his assist Worrall-8 MOM Figgs-6.5 good up until their goal Riberio-7 dealt well defensively with the Ariel onslaught on his side Ameobi 7 some great flashes of skill and a decent out ball. Yates 5 poor. Slow and ponderous passing and no forward balls in his locker Silva 6.5 - industrious Johnson 7 - decent effort and one excellent run and cross - Lolley 7- great goal and looked good but starved of real service Grabban- 7.5 good in line role Subs Da Costa- useful touches - quite good in the air - not sure if he is a striker or wide forward Bostock - did he touch the ball? Diakarby - rather mighten get minutes Samedo- thought he improved us but missed the all important header for their goal Central midfield we need to improve. Would prefer Bostock to yates at the moment. RE: Match Player Ratings - the jock - 21-06-2020 I just dont see what yates offers. See bannan yesterday . Fast crisp balls going forward. We had nothing like that. |
