I know it's early days but I've really been disappointed with Hughton's decision making so far. Or maybe he is Sabri who has come back in time. In 20 years, he managed to sort the accent out but still likes to keep it tight and snatch a 1-0. After a long run of defeats, if you had told me that we would win 1 and draw 3 of his first 4 games I would have bitten your hand off. Confidence is going to take time to recover as its something like 1 win in 15 games, but 6 points in 4 is a very solid start. We are looking at mid table I think, but could have been a season long relegation battle. We are a long way from being out of it at present... He has rapidly addressed the descent. Although I liked last season as we actually looked like making the playoffs some of our home performances were dire Nah, that narrative ain't right. In Sabri's last match, after the first 20 mins we played Bristol City off the park. This wasn't a case of a major overhaul needed. We have a strong squad, top 6. They were under performing and the upside was there to be released. 6 points from 4 matches is a stat which sounds decent but he came in with a great run of fixtures to start with, and it continues with Boro, Coventry, Wycombe & Barnsley. That's a dream start. We needed a lucky last minute deflection vs Blackburn for that win, and 3 draws against Rotherham, Derby & Luton. Those were there to be won. We'll see how good these draws are after our upcoming run against Bournemouth, Swansea, Watford, Reading, Norwich & Brentford. We've scored 4 goals in 4 matches, and 2 of them were basically own goals. And poor football in all 4. Decisions? Tonight, leaving Freeman, one of the best in the division on the bench and playing Lolley there. He has never played well in that position. Ditto team selections and refusal to make subs against Derby & Rotherham, as I commented in those match threads. Not a single minute for Mighten in 4 matches? This squad isn't mid table standard, let alone relegation standard, and the first 4 games didn't consign us to it. If that's all Hughton can do with us this season he'll be fired, and rightly so. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Marinakis Red - 29-10-2020 I'm mystified to why in about 2 weeks we have not gone from playing horrible turgid football to absolute peak Spain in 2010. Hughton out for me. We should be top of the league by now. No excuses. It's poor football and poor decision making :D RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Paplane - 29-10-2020 We've improved but I just cant see a switch being flicked and us suddenly going on to win 5 games on the bounce. As the top teams pull away, I'm resigned now to a season of stabilisation and improvement. Maybe a push for top 6 in the last quarter of the season at best.
