Still less good for them if he barely plays and Arsenal don't keep him. Sets a helpful benchmark for Hendo though if we are still trying for that. This guy was better and not injured so we would expect to pay a lot less! It can be a risk, not much experience there at PL level, chance they have signed a few in the OBrien mold , decent but don’t quite cut the mustard. Yeah pretty jealous of Bournemouth's window, they must be right on the FFP line now surely. Spent 80m last year and already 70m before these deals. A good year to go young though with the Sheff Utd, Luton in the league plus Wolves and Everton's financial struggles (and our own struggles!) RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Username - 10-08-2023 Southampton have shown that the right players can retain their value no matter how poor they were in a relegation season. Clearly there are some players that would never fall into this category, ie Che Adams, Jonjo Shelvey to name two RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Sausage Roll - 11-08-2023 Spurs still dicking around regarding Kane - he won't fly out until Bayern tell him everything is done. Caicedo turning down Liverpool as he only wants to move to Chelsea. RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Sausage Roll - 11-08-2023 Now Liverpool have shown how much money they're prepared to throw around, Southampton should up their asking price for Romeo Lavia. RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Fumanchew - 11-08-2023 It took us 5 games before we were tonked by 3+ goals last season, unsurprisingly that was also City Let’s hope it’s no more then 2 goals tomorrow! RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Sausage Roll - 11-08-2023 Rude awakening for Burnley tonight. Their high-pressing might work against some teams in the league but Man City are the masters of it and it showed. Also I'd be very nervous watching the way they tried to play out from the back. Nearly got caught out on more than one occasion. RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Mcforest - 12-08-2023 Think last night shown actually Burnley will survive if they can keep that style going. Good on the ball and excellent transition play, pass the ball round nicely with lots of movement. Can see a lot of teams struggling to deal with them early on and I expect them to get points on the board early and quickly before teams work them out. RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Sausage Roll - 12-08-2023 Brighton dicked Luton, Everton and Sheffield United lost at home and Bournemouth only drew. I'll take that for starters. RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - DeesideRed - 12-08-2023 Everton have 2 big games coming up. Less that 4pts and they're in trouble this season imo RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Mcforest - 12-08-2023 Well could have been worse this opening weekend. Could be Aston villa and playing Newcastle RE: The Premier League 2023/24 - Fumanchew - 12-08-2023 I did not expect that |
