Almost as enthusing as people "should be given the precious commodity of time" you highlighted maybe the most bellendish aspect of the post, but 2 clubs, 13 managers, erratic, disjointed, conflicting strategies, uncertainty, lack of direction, i don't know, but 2 years of under achievement .. failure? i think we have to stop talking Marinakis up for the time being and look at the reality, the bullshit is getting tiresome, i've talked the bloke up, bought into him having the medusa touch, the facts are .. maybe he had it, but at the moment the big fella has lost it and if anything success is becoming more unattainable. a few other conspiracies to role out, did Marinakis want someone else here who maybe interpreted our situation as leaning towards the diabolical and career suicide and turned us down? i do think this thought has substance, an over riding factor when it comes to getting good players and coaches into our club and a main reason we are making success unattainable. The Marinakis interview was meagre and poor and tiresome ... the stability, the potential ... it's gone at the moment, basically he has to stand well back and let .. trust .. pure football professionals, he cannot do this and this is the reason for his failure and i see the instability increasing, hope i'm wrong, he seems like a bloke you can't reach agreement with and trust and be left to get on with it, maybe explains why he wants a puppet in a straight jacket to blame and sack. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 18-07-2019 Seems that planning permission has been requested for a small extension to the buildings at the Nigel Doughty Academy. [/quote] Enough PSS. I am putting you on a break. I and many other posters (I have received pm's) are totally fed up with your junk and your crazy rants. You obviously have an agenda with our owners and/or this forum. Opinion is one thing but junk posting is another. I and many others believe you are deliberately junk posting. Yes saw that SR. Marinakis wants his own suite at the academy where he can hold meetings etc away from all the others. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - ThePromisedLand - 18-07-2019 Just watched his interview - very impressed! RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sabricadabra - 18-07-2019 Good interview from EM in my opinion. Easy to see that he demands success, and I particularly liked the part where he talks about changing the club culture of settling for second best "No, we play better in this match & we win". Good stuff. Further development off the pitch for #nffc - planning application submitted for 'small' extension of the first team building at the Nigel Doughty Academy. The #nffc proposal: The extension will “improve the working environment for the existing staff and… create a suite for the owner of the club to be able to conduct his private business”. The suite will allow Mr Marinakis to host guests and meetings “away from staff and players”. The existing massage recovery area for players will also be extended. And the plans also include the building of a new changing room for academy players. #nffc The extra space will also be used to create offices for “technical and coaching staff” who are currently sharing working areas – with particular room for scouts and the sport science office, as well as new offices for the manager and assistant manager. #nffc RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - the jock - 18-07-2019 (18-07-2019, 11:34 AM)ThePromisedLand Wrote: Just watched his interview - very impressed! i was too to be honest. found it inspiring. hes obviously a very intelligent man. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Alf Garnett - 18-07-2019 Cracking interview by the big man. It's clear that we will not tolerate losers and failures. He's a winner and he wants to be a winner at Forest. What is not to like? RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 18-07-2019 Its a good interview, he comes across well. I do not doubt his plans for the club, the investment in infrastructure is fantastic and I accept he has zero tolerance for failure. The issue is that because of this he seems to think promotion will happen at the click of his fingers. I feel he needs to show a bit more patience in the manger, recruitment strategy and building a team rather than ripping it all up if there is not immediate success. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Mad Mel - 18-07-2019 ''We are obliged to do the best for our team, if that means that we need to make a change (in manager) then we will do it'' Straight from the horses mouth, I admire that honesty from EM. I don't think he believes it's going to be easy. I believe his rational is that if our team is able to beat the best teams in the division but then lose to the teams in the lower end of the table then something is not quite right with the mindset and mentality of the players and that is the responsibility of the manager. If it had been the other around, hence if the team had beaten the lower teams and lost to the better ones I believe he could have accepted that (assuming of course that the players gave all that they had). Then the conclusion would have been that the players were just not good enough. |
