RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - woody - 17-09-2018 No easy games in this league (Rotherham just beaten the sheep) especially with our eratic form. Mind you, we now need to start making statements and produce some consistancy and we are hopefuilly just starting to get our act together and producing the form that a squad with this level of talent should be doing. Onwards and upwards.....hopefully. In context you were talking about our away form. So, Rotherham beat the league leaders in Leeds, eh? How about that...Leeds lost... *tiny violin for them. True. The Championship isn't an easy league. If it was and it was down to money spent, why aren't Boro', Derby and Villa already out of it? ...and they're years ahead of Forest in terms of being 'well run' clubs. SA. Derby, well run? Really? Off the top of my head they've had failed stadium naming rights deal, been lying about attendances, the owner is suing the ex-ceo for financial mismanagement. They've spent millions upon millions on players who were simply not worth it. They had to sell their player of the year Vydra in the summer (for FFP reasons) because he was the only player on their books who was considered to be of value. They've appointed bang average managers who have all eventually failed when their luck ran out. The only recent manager that got them into the top 6 then duly buggered off when he got a better offer. Their owner is a control freak, who is similar in many ways to Fawaz. The difference is, he's just made some cash himself, rather than inheriting it. Villa similar woes, appointing the wrong managers and spending big on dross. Boro, I accept, seem to be well run. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - woody - 17-09-2018 Yeah there will always be exceptions to the rules but generally speaking the well run clubs do better. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Duncan Mckenzie - 21-10-2018 Sort it out Aitor! Drop Hefele and Pantilimon, NOW. We need to sign a top class goalkeeper in January. Get Pantilimon on the transfer list (in january). Stop blaming the fans, you and the players bottled it. If you can't handle the presure, we will find someone who can. You, the manager and the team need to get the fans going with your performances, not the other way round. Plenty of the players who played yesterday were experienced and used to playing in front of big crowds. It was pathetic to blame the fans for that s**t performance that you served up yesterday. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Redgirl - 21-10-2018 Agreed! RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - the jock - 21-10-2018 Norwich had an 18 year old playing. Only 1 point better off than last season despite all the investment RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - ThePromisedLand - 21-10-2018 C’mon fellas - we’re all disappointed but it’s starting to get crazy. Win or draw some of the comments are over the top - we weren’t as good as some suggested after the Boro game & we’re not as bad as some would have us believe after yesterday’s defeat. Norwich are a decent team. 6 of the top 7 lost! Let’s keep it all in perspective ( & yes it ruined my weekend too ). RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - HykehamRed - 21-10-2018 No reason to get too excited about a win at Boro or too depressed about a defeat at home to Norwich. It’s a long season and we’ve had a solid start. I’m pretty sure we will get better as the season progresses RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - BadDog - 21-10-2018 (21-10-2018, 07:24 AM)Duncan Mckenzie Wrote: Sort it out Aitor!100% agree. Picking two defensive midfielders at home and no creativity through the middle cost us. That is the managers call and hopefully he learnt his lesson yesterday. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - woody - 21-10-2018 When this thread was first started, I thought it was rediculous, however, it is becoming more and more relevant. Ive mentioned earlier in the thread regarding yesterdays performance that Karanka could have and should have altered things much earlier. Colback and Watson were struggling from the start against a fluid and rapid Norwich midfield. As we conceded ground we also conceded possession. I think that Karaka's tactics and selection cost us yesterday, not that Norwich were so much better than us. Norwich's managers tactics were much better than our managers tactics. Im not calling for Karanka to be sacked, far from it but he is rather negative and that cost us three point. |
