A position of strength? We were 7th. We're now 8th, MON was 9th and didn't have the luxury of a pre-season like the other 2 managers.
There's not a nat's nacker between them. 3 different managers, same sub-standard squad, finishing/sitting in the same section of the league.

Car'. As an understudy to an 'Andy Reid' would be fine. If we'd got Car for the price of Majewski.
Yes. You have to defend from the front. Having Silva and Car' in this midfield? Forest seemed light weight. Where's the assists? The goals? Winning free kicks and scoring them?
It seemed like a tidal Tsumai that Forest were ill equipped to deal with in the 1st half.
You can't carry the performances all around today. Your CHs can't play like they did today and get away with it. The formerly imperious Worrall and Dawson had an absolute mare today. Half a mis-firing midfield and presumably Grabban was on the pitch. But if he doesn't get his 'tap in' service, what does he do?
Forest had been leading a charmed life with their performances of late. Today they came unstuck vs a team who were all round better. Monk? A manager who gets his sides battling, at least.

Carvalho, struggling for minutes, still trying to get match fit, has a pass completion rate of 80% this season.
Only Watson and Silva (80.8%) have better.
Carvalho probably created and had two of our best shots at goal yesterday.
Where are the assists? Where are the goals..?
...comparing Car' to Watson or Silva is not an endorsement of a £13 million player.
He's got to do much better to justify his hefty fee.

Grabban would be the last guy I’d be criticising after yesterday - not his fault he’s being asked to plough a lone furrow ( week in week out ) with bugger all support.

As mentioned above, I think it’s agreed carvalho wasn’t our worst player yesterday. In fact on the first half it felt like he was the only one (and cash) capable of playing at the pace needed to break down a defence sitting deep.
That said he shouldn’t play unless we change formation, not a winger and was too far forward for the 433 formation. Personally I’d play 4231 and pick him but that’s just me. If we can get money for him in Jan then obviously take it.
Can I just throw out Silva has had a disappointing run after a good few games. Not really sure what he offers in games, doesn’t create chances, not a big tackler, gives the ball away a lot. Hopefully with Sow back he’ll come straight in for him

Bloody he'll, I've heard it all now. Ribeiro is a high quality left back, but appears to have the traditional breaks like a biscuit issue of many other previous left backs who looked good. His heading is fine not dominant, but not bad. Of course if you put the big fella on a fullback and play diagonal, the big fella wins their fair share. We do it with Ameobi.
Robinson is steady, a bit better in the air but aside from an occasional worldee into the box (Fulham is the last I remember) makes us lopsided as he offers little going forward. He has too many rash moments too in the box. Aside from all that he is a Scouser. The only Scousers allowed should be Peter Withe or maybe Ian Woan.
Unless you are Robinsons agent, I cant see any reason to select him above Ribeiro when he's available for selection again.

Never said Robinson was better so please don't put word in my mouth. I'm not convinced by ribeiro yet. Have seen some vulnerabilities in his defending. Hed only played 7 games some were in midfield so not sure how you have come to the premature conclusion he is high quality.he is weak physically and small.
Robinson has been poor. Doesn't have pace for the job required.

He didn't have the luxury of a full pre-season, a full Summer transfer window based off that or a full season to see where his leadership would take Forest.
He told one or two prima donnas what they didn't want to hear. Some of whom have now left the club.
I think he'd have got us there with a bit more time. Not an ingredient any recent manager has really had.
I get the impression that the Coach has told one or two players what they didn't want to hear about the recent capitulations and Saturday's performance was the result.
The last week seemed like the down town following the Ipswich game last year. Almost like the team weren't playing for him anymore.
I hope it's just a blip.

Robinson has been very poor recently. And maybe that lack of pace has caught him out and cost Forest goals and points.
It's an area teams keep targeting.
