RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Salvatore Matrecano - 10-05-2024 A rare interview RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - nffc93 - 10-05-2024 (10-05-2024, 02:39 PM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote: A rare interview He does choose his moments. I do hope this doesn't come back to bite us. We are far from safe RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - nffc93 - 10-05-2024 I am defo getting moving away from the City Ground vibes here RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Jean_claude_killy - 10-05-2024 (10-05-2024, 01:31 PM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote:(10-05-2024, 11:24 AM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote: Hope EM enjoyed his night, some achievement, first greek club in a European final. Don’t think anyone would have predicted a 6-2 win, fantastic job by Mendilibar. 1970-71 At Wembley, Ajax beat Panathinaikos in the first of their three consecutive European Cup wins I can vaguely remember the game; Harry Haan scored the second goal in a 2 - 0 win; cant remember who scored the first RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 10-05-2024 (10-05-2024, 02:56 PM)nffc93 Wrote:(10-05-2024, 02:39 PM)Salvatore Matrecano Wrote: A rare interview To be fair to him he could hardly say anything different. Imagine if he said 'I am not confident at all and we are already making plans for The Championship'. Em's interviews are like rocking horse shit so I am glad he has done one although it took getting to a European final to do it. Ongoing legal dealing regarding Gary Neville. Has a pop at Sky and the media who who exaggerate facts. Ongoing legal dealing regarding Gary Neville. He's bang on with Sky and Neville. I do get the feeling we are moving away from our home. How i feel about that... Until it's confirmed it won't really hit me. Be sad to leave but in order to compete at the levels EM appears to want, i see why he's looking at it. I'd like to know the alternative land proposals Tom alleges we have other than Toton?? RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Marinakis Red - 14-05-2024 Fair play to him for fronting up and speaking, a insight to his thoughts and current ambitions. Not everybody will like it but the ambition and investment is undeniable, I wouldn't go anymore than 40k on the stadium. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-05-2024 A few bits from the interview: ''People say you learn from your defeats - but I want victories not defeats,' Marinakis explains. 'I don't want to learn from defeats. I want to keep winning.'' ''I didn't storm on the pitch to confront the referee, all this was in the imagination of Sky and the others that said this. 'I was there to show unity with the team, as I have done many times in the past, after a terrible (refereeing) decision. I was just stood outside the tunnel, the referee walked past and I didn't even look at him. That's why the Premier League never even questioned me about this.'' ''I have attended over 100 games at the City Ground or away and we never had any incident,' Marinakis suddenly says unprompted. 'We've won and lost games - big games - but we have always had an excellent reputation.'' ''Even the Key Match Incidents panel admits that we've had seven wrong decisions against us and there's another nine to my count not admitted.'' ''There were three undisputed penalties - not one. We have the analysis from trusted experts to prove it,' says Marinakis in response to a question about referees chief Howard Webb admitting that Forest should have been awarded at least one spot-kick at Everton.'' ''Neville is subject to FA rules too, surely – he is a director of Salford FC. His comment about the club was outrageous, but the FA have done nothing. I need to be careful - because our lawyers have already been in contact with Sky regarding Neville and this is not over yet. The comments and words he used were inappropriate, didn't correspond with reality and harmed people.'' ''For sure these have hit our position in the table,' he insists. I am very concerned about this and still considering and discussing with the board what would be the appropriate course of action, including legal measures.'' ''The stadium and training ground are not befitting the status and ambitions of the club.'' ''It'll be hard to leave City Ground, but in an age when revenue streams dictate success on the pitch, there's no doubt moving to a bigger facility will set the club on the right path.'' |
