RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - stirred - 30-11-2020 (29-11-2020, 10:32 PM)Sabricadabra Wrote: I don’t get the obsession with Mighten. When was the last time he came on and had a positive impact on a game? I thought he looked promising, and has pace. Put a decent display in against Bristol last time out I thought. Should be getting game time or out on loan, a victim of the change in manager. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - PsychoStanleyStone - 30-11-2020 Hughton looking like an absolute shocker of an appointment, a jurassic throwback compared to Martin O'Neill. Even more stuck in his ways than Sabri. Every game same set up, no goals low goals, like ish for like subs when deployed. Surely the idea of new manager is to change things, but, seriously, what has he changed, nowt. Hopefully he will be gone by Jan 3rd, i actually would prefer no manager to our Chris RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Madforit - 30-11-2020 (30-11-2020, 01:14 AM)PsychoStanleyStone Wrote: Hughton looking like an absolute shocker of an appointment, a jurassic throwback compared to Martin O'Neill. Bit disingenuous to include them like that. I'm sure other top half teams have some shit on their bench too, most of these are loans or frees RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Salvatore Matrecano - 30-11-2020 Signing a load of players who are only good enough as back up is precisely why we are in this mess. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 30-11-2020 We need a squad not a team. We can't sign 30 McKennas. This is a fair point however I would point out there was a lot of criticism of depth last year. Mckenna and Taylor signed as starters look solid so far. I know everyone hates Colback but think he's done fine as a starter too personally. Arter, Christie and Freeman so far have been huge disappointments. These were key areas due to the losses of Watson, cash and silva and all have failed to date. McKenna was better than we already had. So a good signing. Don't need 30 signings better than we already have just a few. Example. Left back. We had Ribeiro and Bong. Talk about possible Ribeiro exit. Signed Blackett and Ioannou. All 4 have started, as if they are all equal and we don't know who are best left back is. Should have signed 1 left back who is auto 1st choice, and then either Ribeiro on Bong leaves, the other is back up. Or leave just Ribeiro and Bong. RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Alf - 30-11-2020 Again, it's balance isn't it? For me I'd prefer us to be signing real peaking quality like Antonio (1.5m) or Geddy (1m), and have academy players in the backup positions like Yates. Yeah we need to sign backup too, but we seem to do that and forget about signing the peaking quality. It's about balance, and - even though I think it's been better this window gone then in previous ones - it's still some way out. People at the club who recruit lack practical nouse, and don't seem to take things such as fitness & leadership into consideration. This is where I hope Hughton makes a difference. It's not just about signings, it's about timing and doing it all in the right way. |
