Really pleased with this announcement. The city ground will always be our home. Whilst I like elements of the design, its simplicity and the way it sits well beside the Trent End, I cant help but think the design of the stand is actually a bit flimsy. With the other 3 stands the 'structure' of each is iconic in its self and wonder if we have missed a trick on this. Whilst these are only visualisations and not the final design, id like to see a slightly more iconic vision ultimately.

Taken in 1991? 1971 maybe but it had been gone nearly 15 years in 1991

So the Peter Taylor stand is going to be bigger and more advanced than the Brian Clough Stand. Ouch!
Great news, looks great and will still be a proper football stadium, not one from Ikea.

I’m so pleased that we are staying at the City Ground, there has been talk of moving but the location is so iconic that I never wanted us to move.

Question for Red81/NG3, thanks for the inside info.
How advanced are we with planning applications etc? Is there anything that could yet scupper the project? I assume NFFC are fairly confident given the fanfare, just wondered if for example we are going to get NIMBYs from West Bridgford complaining about increased traffic and matchday parking blocking access for their Range Rovers etc.
Sorry for the glass half empty question, Forest have made me sceptical about most things down the years, we have seen a few artist drawings of new stadia before with nothing coming to fruition.
Really want to believe it this time!

Seriously it’s fantastic we are staying at the WFCG, I will forever walk over Trent Bridge with a knot in my throat.
