Exactly SR. Like I said I remain sceptical.

I'm thinking this is decent info that's been given to tails from high up in the club. We've not heard a peep from anyone there or any player until last night when Bostock said his goodbyes and Cash sent his thanks for the support this season. Both were excellently worded and presented and wouldn't be the type of thing either player would be able to do or produce independently IMO.

It looks to me like a carefully choreographed pr campaign to get the fans back on board, presumably so they can sell us some shirts.

More talks next week when EM arrives in town.

It's not over yet.

Why wouldn't he want to stay?

Perhaps other job offers, perhaps misses his family in France, perhaps a breakdown with the recruitment team, perhaps mentally drained and feels he can't take the club any further, perhaps wants assurances over transfers that he can't be given.

I think that's enough  :)

Taylor does allude to the mentally drained bit in his article:

"There will be further talks held with Lamouchi over the coming days, with the club keen to assess where the former Rennes and Ivory Coast head coach is himself, mentally. The 48-year-old was left shell-shocked by his side’s capitulation."

If Sabri is mentally stable enough to handle missing the play offs then I think the best way forward is to let him go. Personally I believe he's made of tougher stuff than that.

I’m unlikely to renew my Athletic subscription. I hoped that Paul Taylor would improve after shedding the shackles of the Post but his column is garbage. Danny Taylor’s pieces on the club are superb - but infrequent given his prime focus on the Premier League.

One's an award winning journalist, the other's a local football journo, so perhaps understandable the two seem miles apart. I too won't be renewing The Athletic. I don't read it except for just the occasional article about NFFC and there's only a couple of these a week. So not worth the outlay IMO.

Same. I'm doing away with it.

I never subscribed in the first place. I have never seen or heard an exclusive coming from there. Nothing I didn't already know. Nothing against them but I wouldn't waste my money on reading something that I have already been told about or read about elsewhere.

Yep, me too, he'll be fine. It must be hard seeing a project that you've been working on day and night for 12 months slip away in 20 minutes. It'd piss anyone off so I'm not surprised he was on a serious downer. But since last week he's probably been home, had some encouragement from his missus, had a few positive messages from the likes of Frank Clark and John McGovern and will be ready to go again next week.

RE: Sabri Will He Stay Be Sacked Or Quit - Paplane - 30-07-2020

I'm thinking the situation with Sabri is that he has the internal backing of all at NFFC, but no one speaks for EM directly and they need to discuss matters next week when he comes over, hence the club briefing Tails that Sabri's 'mental state will be assessed in the coming week'.

I hope Sabri has the minerals to tell EM how it is and how it's been because we cant keep selling players and replacing them with loans and failed foreigners, who we hope will polish up.

It must also be really hard to stand in front of a critical press and be asked to address your epic failure just 20 minutes after the final whistle. No wonder he was pissed off.
