RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - JWJW - 06-12-2024 I enjoyed it. Good PR. Says he will never back down and become some Cuckold accepting all the crap being thrown around, like many people are nowadays. He stands up for his family, his business, his clubs.........and he will keep taking on the FA and anyone else until bad decisions no longer happen. As he says, with so many video angles - human error is not an acceptable excuse for incorrect VAR decisions. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Tricky - 07-12-2024 I enjoyed it TBH. Whilst it wasn't a tub thumping documentary about either Forest or Oly, it did mention a lot for his passion for both clubs. Interestingly, there was very little mention about Rio Ave or the Brazillian club he has bought/is buying. Whilst he did say he would continue to fight against the injustices within the game, namely VAR, he did it in a way that was calm and well thought through. His arguments were well explained without actually having a go at any particular organisation or individual, just the process currently in place to reach a VAR decision. He didnt even have a pop at poor refereeing decisions. With that in mind, I would imagine a lot of fans from other clubs would agree with his sentiments and support his arguments in theory, if nothing else. Despite his obvious vast wealth, he didnt 'show off' this wealth by bragging about things he owns, apart from his Europa winners medal, quite rightly too IMO. He didnt have a replica of the FA Cup or European cup in his living room a la Fuckwit Hasawi. Instead he showed his art collection, most of which he did himself. I have to admit that some of his collection left me scratching my head a bit, thinking WTF, but then again, I am no art connoisseur and wouldnt know the difference between a Picasso and Monet if they both slapped me in the chops!! Whilst the documentary wasn't anything to shout out about, it was in some ways a true reflection of the man. Doesn't give much away about himself or bigging himself up. Just a none controversial slight insight into a very complex man that wants the best for his passions and his investments. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 07-12-2024 Roma's former CEO Lina Souloukou is set to be appointed CEO of EM's multi-club operation. Good friends with EM and ex General Manager of Olympiakos where she did an excellent job. A Greek CEO, what could possibly go wrong? First CEO since Dane Murphy. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sausage Roll - 12-12-2024 Forest are opening a food bank at the Fanzone and EM has said he'll match the value of all donations made. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-12-2024 EM made some big changes at the top (around him) in recent days that have gone under the radar. I will leave them under the radar but he is not only building a team on the pitch but also off it too. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Tricky - 14-12-2024 (14-12-2024, 10:02 AM)Sniffer Dog (Admin) Wrote: EM made some big changes at the top (around him) in recent days that have gone under the radar. Its taken quite some time, but finally, we are seeing the fruits of EM's labours. He hasnt always got things right, but when he has got things wrong, he hasnt been afraid to rectify things. He has never given up or thrown his toys out of the pram like some petulant child (maybe the tweet after Everton being the exception!). He has constantly backed our managers and isnt afraid to dip his hands into his pockets to help build the team and the club. I shudder to think what the outcome couldve been if he hadnt come in and saved our club. Fuckwit al hasawi wouldve killed us altogether. That Yank that was sniffing around wasnt interested in the club, just the development opportunities around the stadium rather than from and within the stadium. EM has done this in an almost quiet and dignified way (gobbing on the floor in front of officials was never going to go down well though). He is having to put up with all sorts of shit in his native Greece, but over here, gobbing incident apart, he is just getting on with things as though nothing was happening elsewhere. He has made mistakes. He has made some superb decisions. He has backed the team and the club 100% and has not wanted anything in return apart from success on the pitch. I dont have anywhere near the £billions he has, but what he wants are no different to what i and every other single Forest fan wants. A club to be proud of. A club once again being a force to be reckoned with on the National and International stage. For too long, we Forest fans have lived in the memory of the late 70's and early 80's. We are ridiculed by other sets of fans for living in the past. Probably rightly so TBH. But now, with the improvements EM is managing to achieve, along with a Manager that is managing to achieve, we the Forest faithful can dare to live life looking to the future with excitement, as well as looking back to the past with pride. Thank you Evangelis Marinakis for making this become a reality RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-12-2024 Great post Tricky thank you. I knew it would all come good in the end and I kept beating the drum that it would despite taking some shit along the way. I have total faith in EM. Always have and always will. He ain't done yet. He is just getting started. There will be some turbulance along the way but the sky is the limit. Great write up and viewpoint as always tricky. I've certainly had my issues with structure and vision previously, but the big man as sorted the lot, very very grateful. As I said not long ago thank you very much Mr Marinakis, I took my nephew for the first time last night, you have given us both memories we will never forget. That's what life is all about. RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Tricky - 15-12-2024 Thank you MR. Your comments are encouraging. Congratulations on taking your Nephew to his first match. If he has been bitten by 'the bug', you will most definitely be his favourite Uncle! I have a card on my kitchen notice board that is a copy of the Forza Garibaldi display of the little girl perched on her Dads shoulders crossing Trent Bridge, with the caption " From one generation to the next!" You are contributing to bringing in our next generation. I applaud you sir! RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Marinakis Red - 15-12-2024 (15-12-2024, 01:41 PM)Tricky Wrote: Thank you MR. I love that one generation to the next, what a club we have, that's on my daughter's bedroom wall, she's not old enough to attend just yet. |
