JW: I want to go and play in the Prem
Forest Fans: Fair play to the bloke for his honesty and good luck to him provided we get a decent price

BJ: I want to go and play in the Prem
Forest Fans: How dare he, he owes us more

JW: Has contributed on the pitch for 2 or 3 seasons and will leave for a market rate fee.
BJ: Will have played only half a season with us and wants to pocket half of the transfer value himself.

Completely different approaches. We know which one is fair for all sides.

Also, the chance that JW will be sold to another club and will feature in their first team on a regular basis, like Matty Cash did, as opposed to BJ who will be sold to another club and may sit on the bench if he is lucky, but be more likely to be farmed out on loan to maybe a Championship side, making more money to his parent club, like Patrick Bamford ended up doing or Oliver Burke

We got a great price for Burke though.

We did but it's a pity where almost all the fee went to or should I say who it went to. Not going to elaborate.

He did own him though Sniff. He was his possession to sell.

But it would have been nice if the money stayed in the clubs coffers instead of ending up in the pocket of a close -------- (I will leave it there).

Anyone agree with me that Wozza isn't even our best defender?

I rate Mckenna more highly.

Wozza would be much easier to replace too than Mckenna with Mckenna being a natural left footed CB. They are not easy to find not good ones anyway. If we have to sell one or if one wants to leave then I would rather it be Wozza.

Wasn’t his greatest game yesterday, made a few mistakes that, on another day, he wouldn’t have got away with. Still wouldn’t want to see him go though.

Definitely don't agree on this one, though McKenna is very very good for us.

They both do their jobs really well, but Worrall reads the danger slightly better, the number of times Worrall closes off the possibility of a pass through his defensive awareness probably goes unnoticed when on TV. But when defending Bridgford end especially, from where we sit you see as the danger unfolds and you hope the opposition ball carrier doesn't see the pass, so often Worrall sees it and adjusts his position  often not even directly touching ball, to close off the chance of that pass.

When it doesn't happen, it is noticeable (eg. goal we conceded at Sheep dip).
Mckenna does it too  but more often than not its Worrall.

Both cracking at this level though.

It's also what Zinc seems to let opposition defences do sometimes by delaying his pass too long.

I am not knocking Wozza by the way and I certainly don't want him to go.

RE: Wozza - Salvatore Matrecano - 07-11-2021

We had a debate in the summer, if we had to lose 1 of Brennan or Joe and I think the majority said keep Joe and sell Brennan.
Think would be the other way around now although circumstances may force our hand. Not sure any offer for Wozza will be quite the mega bucks we are hoping for. He has always had an error in him but his leadership and attitude is what makes him stand out, qualities that are much harder to find than simply bringing in a replacement reliable defender.
