Bit harsh on Mighten, I wonder how many minutes he's had in comparison to the others, very little I suspect. If he was rested you can bet your bottom dollar DJ will be all over twitter bashing Cooper. Harsh perhaps but that is under multiple managers that he's not been selected much so he's clearly not making enough of an impact in training. Perhaps Cooper doesn't feel like he fits the system when it's 3 at the back. Not a criticism of the lad though, just more this is the situation. RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Marinakis Red - 09-12-2021 I've personally not seen enough of Mighten's ability during his games in the side to say he warrants a start. He is quick over 5 yards, but he is not burning anyone over distance, can remember Max Aaron's doing it to him though. I think he lacks confidence, a loan would be beneficial for us all, get him playing regular and build his confidence so he can come back next season with fresh impetus and stature raring to go. I agree Wassy. My biggest criticism of Alex is his lack of defensive duties. Now is that due to him being a slight lad and doesnt have the physical 'clout' to help out in defence or something else? I don't know what the answer is and my criticism only comes from my observations. His speed up top though is something else completely RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 09-12-2021 Just having pace isnt enough as Diakhaby proved. Im not saying Alex osnt miles better than that but he has to show more for me, I think a loan and regular game time would do him good, easy to forget he is still only 19, younger than a good many of the academy players. RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 09-12-2021 I'd like to see him coached to stay on his feet more. Easy for me to say I know but I've noticed defenders do seem to get physical with him as a way to win the battle against him. But he needs game time like any young player. Look at what it did for Brennan, perhaps League One is perfect given it's increased physicality. That said can we afford to be letting Alex go on loan for 6 months, do we have the depth? Even if he did go out on loan, I seriously still cannot see Carvalho getting a sniff RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Username - 09-12-2021 When him and Ameobi were on each wing last season we looked quite exciting, he’s not been given a proper chance since IMO RE: Swansea City - Nottingham Forest - Paplane - 09-12-2021 I bet Ameobi's regretting his move. He been struck down with injury, the manager who signed him is gone and he doesnt look like a Wilder type player. :off: |
