I concur, above halfway would be phenomenal but I suspect we will surprise many teams. The second season might be different.

We are 2nd favourites with the bookies to go back down with Bournemouth favourites, along with Fulham also. I don’t think I can make an educated guess until I see what our recruitment has been like, but if we get some of the players we’ve been linked to, especially MGW , Williams , Henderson, get Johnson committed to a new contract, then perhaps we will be Ok.

Top 6 and win League Cup.

Most fans of other premiership teams think we are the least likely to go down. They think our home form will keep us up and our home matches are difficult for most teams next year because of our home support- they have all said it has been very impressive from the TV for the matches they’ve seen… e.g Arsenal, Leicester and Liverpool -play offs…

A Liverpool fan that goes home and away said v Forest was his favourite game last year- we gave a real good account of ourselves on the field but even better off it…

First target is to beat derbys points total - by October!

That would be my first target - get to 12 points ASAP. Not ambitious but very symbolic

Don't expect us to challenge at either end of the table.
Consolidation.

Difficult question without seeing our final squad but around the half way mark I reckon.

I'm getting more confident with every signing that we are going to do well.

Me too I can't wait to get started now.

I am always optimistic but whatever the outcome, after 23 years, I am going to enjoy the journey.

We have to be sensible. There are 4 or 5 teams (at least) that we should be aiming to take 4-6 points off. This will give us, say, 24 points. Realistically, we can then 2-3 points of another 6 sides which should see us close to, if not actually, safe.

Now all of this does not take into account the officials, freak results, transfer windows, fallouts, sackings and the World Cup.

Why shouldn't I be optimistic? Enjoy the ride and remember our immense home and away support....COYR!!!!

I think we'll probably end up doing well against the better teams due to our style of play but maybe struggle to break down the teams that don't play to attack.

Think we'll need a few early results as teams might learn how to block us.

I am overwhelmingly optimistic though.
