Kouyate is picked for his physical presence imo. You've got to think about defending (and attacking I suppose) set plays. Sure, but I'm not sure that necessarily had much impact Saturday, plus Yates and Freuler also cover that. Might help the attackers if we had someone that could pass to then quicker. Yes but we're in survival mode atm. First priority, clean sheet. We've tried attacking sides and it's left us wide open and looking woefully inadequate. He is a better player than people give him credit for RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - Username - 13-10-2022 (13-10-2022, 10:23 AM)wassy04 Wrote:(13-10-2022, 10:18 AM)Paplane Wrote:(13-10-2022, 09:13 AM)wassy04 Wrote: I'd prefer to see Mangala in for Kouyate also, however I'm pretty sure we'll see no changes. One of the reasons we are conceding from long range is that the midfield is letting players run beyond them, Yates and Freuler particularly have struggled with that when picked. RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - RyanR - 13-10-2022 I don’t think Kouyate will be dropped. He has a huge amount of league experience and has mainly done well for us so far. I think Cooper probably feels that he can trust him RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 13-10-2022 The thing is can he play 3 games in 8 days assuming he would play at Brighton too next Tuesday. I think he might be 'rested' at Wolves if we want to play him at Brighton. Interesting point. Last season he didn't tend to tinker, it was next man up when his hand was forced. This is what I believe Cooper has to get back to. Barring injuries, this is a great opportunity to return to a selection strategy that has worked for him before. No change from me. If chasing a point bring on Mangala, until then it's as is. RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - zicorice - 13-10-2022 Unchanged I would imagine. I hate going to Wolves as traffic and parking are crap. RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 14-10-2022 They do have a train station Zico. RE: Wolves - Nottingham Forest - Salvatore Matrecano - 14-10-2022 Wolves are the lowest scorers in the league with only 3 goals from 9 games. Our leaky defence may never get a better chance to keep a clean sheet. |
