When you consider Zinchenko was about ,£30 million, I'd say at 24 yes old he's well worth that £22 million. Settling in a treat now. RE: Our Brazilians - ozzyten10 - 14-01-2023 Lodi was excellent today - very intelligent defender - Aurier was very good too but did switch off once to let barnes in, was amazed when he was on the left wing! Scarpa- not sure - I want him to work but lacks a bit of pace and slowed down some attacking transitions. He worked hard and has a lovely left foot - hopefully it’s just adjustment. MGW is over shadowing him. I like the look of Scarpa, I think he will come on leaps and bounds with some games under his belt RE: Our Brazilians - wassy04 - 14-01-2023 (14-01-2023, 08:47 PM)ozzyten10 Wrote: Lodi was excellent today - very intelligent defender - Aurier was very good too but did switch off once to let barnes in, was amazed when he was on the left wing! If we've learned anything from Lodi, Boly, Awoniyi it's that we need to not judge players harshly by their first few performances and give them time to settle. Hopefully the recent results mean everyone will be more patient with new players now. Spot on. Almost all of us said the same early in the season. But there is always a "vocal minority" that talk absolute sh1te and know f@(k all about real football. Judging players too early, slaughtering young lads learning their trade and saying the manager needs changing every time we lose a couple of games as he tries to blend a whole new squad together. Thankfully it is just a small minority and EM or somebody that makes the decisions listened to the supporting majority on this. Contrast that with the Leicester fans. A sh1te club that has over performed for a number of years, now heading back where it belongs and their fans are apoplectic as to why they are not in top 10. All the clubs near bottom seem to be really toxic at present, with exception of us and Bournemouth. Was chatting to Ian Woan earlier- he's been to every home game this season - and he's sure we are staying up and was eulogising about what a great club and City we have. 'People on the outside just don't get it as they're not a part of it it's a very special place' Always liked Woany, even more so now... RE: Our Brazilians - Joe Baker Legend - 15-01-2023 Scarpa Time... RE: Our Brazilians - Hyperkoi - 15-01-2023 Considering scarpa has only been with us a few weeks, completely different style of football to what he is used to he did well. When he ran with the ball he was looking up to pass but we had no striker so his normal outlet was not there. Not sure how he and mgw fit together though RE: Our Brazilians - Redreg - 15-01-2023 I thought yesterday we could of sacraficed one of the CM and played a striker dropping scarpa a bit deeper perhaps it’s something we can look at when he is fully fit and Daniilio is up to speed RE: Our Brazilians - McDurban - 15-01-2023 I thought the game was crying out for a 4321 press with a CF in the box RE: Our Brazilians - Joe Baker Legend - 21-01-2023
