Actually their 1st team squad is the smallest in the PL, they have only registered 21 players and only have another 2 U21s in the first team set up. They could only field 6 outfield players on their bench yesterday. That said if they could literally only put 8 players on the pitch I would still be thinking a draw would be a decent result. RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - Redreg - 20-09-2023 Would like to see us go defensive but set up the same as City . Monteil , Mangala and Elanga out for Dominguez , Yates and Niakhate . Also Filipe or Boly if fit for Mckenna i dont see him starting again this season Niakhate at LB . Turner Aina Wozza Filipe/Boly Niakhate Sangare Dominguez Yates CHO MGW Tiawo RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - tugger2018 - 20-09-2023 I would play our 5 centrebacks for this game Turner Worrall boly Felipe McKenna niakhate Yates Sangare Dominguez mangala Mgw RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 20-09-2023 (20-09-2023, 09:37 PM)tugger2018 Wrote: I would play our 5 centrebacks for this game Lol, casually benching our best player there. RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 20-09-2023 Why does every think Niakhate would be a good LB? He doesn't appear to have played that way before. Certainly not in the Premier league. Would seem to be an unnecessary gamble particularly when we have one guy that looks great there anyway and Tavares to see how he develops too. RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - JWJW - 21-09-2023 I would give MGW and Elanga and CHO a rest.....bring them on as subs late in the game maybe. Perhaps the perfect game to give a debut to PL debut to Santos and Dominguez and hope one or both of them has a blinder. This is the kind of game where Cooper puts in a couple of "fringe" or "new" players and says "go and show me what you have". ------------------------------Turner------------------------------- ------Worrall-----------------Boly--------------Niakhate-------- Aina--------Yates----------Sangare-------Dominguez-----Tavares --------------------------------Santos------------------------------- -------------------------------Awoniyi------------------------------ RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - Redgirl - 21-09-2023 Until we’re safe he will play our best team, goal difference could be the key to staying up, I’m not being negative just pragmatic. Any other team I would say we had a chance but City are on another level. As long as we keep the loss to a minimum and put in a good performance, I will be ok with it. RE: Manchester City - Nottingham Forest - ozzyten10 - 21-09-2023 A positive goal difference should be our first target. So we're playing the best team in the league away and you're advocating resting players, it's not like we have a midweek game either. What a bizarre suggestion. It'll be the same team as Chelsea except Sangare will probably come in for Danilo and then it's just whether Boly, Aurier or Felipe are fit to start. Off the bench they may be more effective for a final 20 minute attacking binge. This is the same line up as others have suggested......except Santos in for MGW and Dominguez in for Mangala. We will see on Saturday what is the actual line up. |
