The defeatist and losing mentality is painful to read at times. Brighton hadn't won for 6 games in the PL, other teams managed to take them.
They had only lost one in those 6.

I'm not sure other prem teams earning a draw against them constitutes In taking them for balance of your comment before SM jumps on me. I was just claryfying the context of those 6 games. You could now say Brighton have only lost one in the last 7 in the prem.

True MR but can we just agree that they weren't exactly in great form and tearing up the league plus we were at home.
I would rather see comments like 'there for the taking' than be shit scared of them and walk on the pitch with our legs trembling at the though of playing Brighton like some seem to think we should be.

I don't disagree with you, I want positivity surrounding my football club, results and performances included. I would like our approach to be slightly different too. Hopefully we see this against Everton on Saturday night. Although Everton are far better away than at home.

Wont jump on you MR and I appreciate you always back up your comments with facts.
Also agree with Sniffer we should be looking to beat Everton and need to find a way to take points of technically better teams like Brighton. If we are comprehensively outplayed like we were for 70 mins then we aren’t getting in right no matter if they were in good form or not.
As for Everton we need to win and that means playing to our own strengths whilst not letting them bully us via physicality.

who is going to play up front for us in this game. Wood was so ineffective against Brighton, which has been the case nearly evertime i have seen him play. I can’t be bothered to list his inadequacies because most fans see them every week with their own eyes. I am not sure Origi is the answer either. We have seen less of him but what i have he hasn’t impressed. Everton have two big dominant centre backs. if we start lumping it long to Wood or Origi they won’t get much joy against them two. Is this a game to play MGW as a false 9. 4 1 4 1 formation. Two wingers and Danilo and Yates getting beyond MGW. Personally, i would also bring Worrall in for Niakhate. Worrall was poor when he came on as a late sub against Luton but prior to that his performances had been good. He was superb at Chelsea. Historically i have not been his biggest fan but being right footed he improves the balance and can hit decent diagonal passes to the left winger. Having two centre backs doing that would be interesting. I can’t see Coops going for this but an idea.

It will more likely be Boly for Niakhate, But I would like to see Omobamidele given a go.

I Would like to see Elanga, CHO and MGW in a fluid front 3 . I think Dominguez and Danilo played the wrong way round Saturday but playing as 2 8’s Dominguez should of been the one to go and press high .
Danilo’s passing range and ball carrying ability would of been better from deeper .
Wood and Origi dont suit the way we play in fast transition and would rather us play into Morgans feet than hit long balls to Wood !!

How about Filipe ? Must be ready for a game now but yes would of gone with boly against Brighton to look after Ferguson .
