RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - Trailer Park Tom - 19-05-2024 The main reason I want him to have more time is because another manager will want to turn the squad upside down again and Nuno doesn't want that. Agreed. If Nuno tinkers with 4 or 5 additions I think we are close to being a decent side. RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - Trailer Park Tom - 19-05-2024 A win today will certainly help his cause and even though we are more focused on off the pitch antics it's an important game for us and Nuno today. Burnley play open and I want us to go 5 at the back and pick them out. Like we should have done at the CG. RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - Tricky - 19-05-2024 I think Nuno should be given the same chance that Steve Cooper got at the start of this season. Give him the summer and pre-season, get rid of a lot of the chaff that he doesnt want, plus bring in the odd replacement/improvement and see how he goes until Christmas. Sorry, just realised this is :Off Topic: RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - Red Dog - 19-05-2024 IF there is going to be a change, it needs to be imminent. New manager needs to hit the ground running and have had discussions to see what they will inherit and identify types of players / style. I don't think it helped Nuno taking over mid-season and the points deduction fiasco. As a coach, I believe he should be given a chance with his squad. He will be best placed to know what he has at the club and who will need to be replaced in his team. This said, nothing surprises me anymore at NFFC! RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - wassy04 - 19-05-2024 I don’t think it would be particularly fair on Nuno if he was replaced, he doesn't deserve to be sacked. That said, if we are going to do it as said above would much rather it was during the off-season so they can help shape the squad to their preferred tactics/style of play. Plus all the best managers tend to not want to leave mid-season so better options. I'm not sure today's result should have much bearing though to get back on topic. Unless the unthinkable happened... If we can get any more than that then we will have done well. Such a shame. RE: Burnley - Nottingham Forest - Joe Baker Legend - 19-05-2024 0-1 Wood |
