Or did I miss that? Yes, season ticket holders can login to their account - manage tickets - list on ticket exchange. So if you want to buy tickets I guess keep looking. I believe we will score. RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - ToryTom - 13-08-2024 (13-08-2024, 10:53 AM)Reds73 Wrote:(13-08-2024, 10:23 AM)Sausage Roll Wrote: Referee: Michael Oliver. Famous last words but happy with that RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Redreg - 13-08-2024 Sels Williams Milenkovic Murillo Aina Sangare Danilo CHO MGW Anderson Wood Bring on after 60 :- Elanga Tiawo Silva RE: Nottingham Forest - Bournemouth - Mcforest - 14-08-2024 It’s the start of the new season, the sun shines down making the reflections dance on the water of the Trent. You can hear the anticipation and excitement as the fans begin the walk over the bridge towards the ever towering figure of the city ground. Who will start what formation will we play, the strength and weaknesses of both teams exposed by the chattering fans as they stop to pick up a new pin or match day programme before looking up at the true crest of the city bold in red. Breath in and know this is it, this this the start of something special. Hope and pride consumed before heading for the entrance gate and the click of the turnstile. You know you are home. Ok so we are up against Bournemouth this weekend who have had forests number for several seasons. But what do we know before a ball is even kicked and what dangerous they may present. If last season and preseason is anything to go by then we can expect a starting formation of 4-2-3-1 but with their main central striker Solanke now at spurs who will run the line or will it cause a change information. Bournemouth have tried out both Jebbison and Semenyo in this position so I would expect one of them of continue in that roll for the time being. Last season no team in the premier league had more final third regains than Bournemouth. Bournemouth usually press in a 4-1-3-2, shifting from their 4-2-3-1 shape, because they mostly face opponents building up with two centre-backs. The No 10 moves next to the No 9 and one of the two defensive midfielders jumps up to replace the No 10. They try to bait teams out wide and lock them in, going player-for-player, with midfielders and centre-backs jumping up when the forwards step up to press opposition defenders. Defensively Bournemouth were the 7th best team in the league when it came to tackles won per game and 5th with interceptions. With the ball They created a lot of shooting opportunities and had the 9th best xG rating of the league with an expected 63.67. They only managed to score 52 tho so the chance to conversion is down by 11 points. In fact Bournemouth would create 14.3 shots per game and only 4.9 of those shots would be on target. They are not a short passing team with the fourth lowest pass rate over short distances. Instead they are more direct, with the second highest direct passes behind Everton last year. Most passes are played down the wings in behind the defence to turn the opposition around. From there they could apply the high press or cross into the main striker. The left side of the pitch was the most favourite side to attack for Bournemouth with a huge 40% of build up play coming on that side. Yet 66% of all shots were from a central position which means they like to cut in and shoot or cross to striker. One could assume that due to 56% of shots being from inside the 18 yard box, further 11% inside the 6 yard box and that they completed over 19 crosses (the highest was 22) that they favour the ball into the box to an oncoming player. Last season Bournemouth won 6 away games, drew 3 and lost the remain 10 which in the grand scheme of things is average form for a mid table side and they will be looking to improve on that this season. What we learnt last season is if you could beat the press of Bournemouth they were open to counter-attacks and skillful players running with the ball. The Bournemouth defence was less compact than other teams and instead relied on midfielders getting close to the centre backs rather than the full backs. This actually allowed teams to create overloads in wide areas or create number superiority in central area. This a good example of why they have a good interception rate defensively. It wasn’t because they were good at it but because of the over loads it was attempted more time during a game and they had to do it more. As Bournemouth do not build up in their own half and play more direct the midfield become more stretched the more they are put under pressure as they can’t get up to support the strikers and allow the high press to be enforced. More space become available for team to play central and control the game. Head to head information last 12 games at the city ground Nottingham Forest has won 2 times and AFC Bournemouth has won 6 times. 4 fixtures ended in a draw. In terms of goals, Nottingham Forest scored 13 goals and AFC Bournemouth scored 20 goals. 50% chance Bournemouth will score first 40% chance Nottingham Forest score first 10% no goals I would guess the first goal would most likely come between 31-45 mins if Bournemouth were to score first. Forest are more likely to score between 11-20 min or 61-75 mins when playing at home. Based on what we know I would say both team score in this game and it will be a draw. |
