RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - Strawberry Avenger - 15-01-2019 "Do you think Carvalho is a bad prospect? £6m for Grabban who is top scorer ? Yacob, a bad signing? Free Dawson, a bad signing? Free Robinson, a bad signing? Free Hefele, a bad signing? Free Jo Lolley, a bad signing? As for Ansarifard and Soudanhi, injury and international call ups (outside anyones control) have restricted their chances to play so it is hard to comment. Dias and Goncalves have not cut it but they are loans so can go back. The club also got £7m for Brereton who has hardly set the Championship alight since leaving so in net terms i think we have had good value for the transfer fees shelled out. The squad is much stronger now than the one he inherited." (Comment from NEP comments section...) Martin inherits some decent players. Many of who were picked up for 'free' or relatively little. But that's been a blessing and a curse for our CHs... It will be interesting to see how Martin views the squad and what he will want to add to it. We definitely need strength to the spine of the side, Keeper, CH, Striker...and balance re: winger. SA. RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - Redgirl - 15-01-2019 For the first time in ages a manager has inherited a decent squad, with a few additions and a little motivation it can be a great squad. We all know individually we have some great players, we somehow seem to have lost our way. I’m sure Martin will get us back on track. He has to have one! Maybe the club will have both at the Press Conference on Thursday? We'll see. SA. RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - HykehamRed - 15-01-2019 Would love to see him recall Worrall. Celtic old boy doing over Rangers...?! RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - Strawberry Avenger - 15-01-2019 (15-01-2019, 06:37 PM)HykehamRed Wrote: Would love to see him recall Worrall. Not sure O’Neil needs him but would complete the comeback. Interestingly keanes visits to the city ground and u23 have been very frequent for the last 3 years - increasing recently. Wonder if it has been a plan all along... RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - BadDog - 15-01-2019 (15-01-2019, 07:02 PM)ozzyten10 Wrote: Strange Keane not signed yet. RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - Squarered - 15-01-2019 Why not quicker if the plan all along? RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - Joe Baker Legend - 15-01-2019 He's arrived! RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - ozzyten10 - 15-01-2019 That got me all goosebumpy RE: Martin O'Neill It Is Then... - ozzyten10 - 15-01-2019 Bit soppy. Waiting for the megadeath Keane version |
