I wonder if carvalhos injury is bad?

I’d be tempted to go Cash over Darikwa. He might need some work to become a fullback but I think I’ve given up on Darikwa making one after all these years playing there. And definitely Cash for when we go 3 at the back.

i'm quite excited now there are a few new signings, lets not forget there were already some pretty decent players in the squad prior to this transfer window

the values of players is an enigma and i am assuming the new players all cost less than or around £1.5m

i'm looking at where we are now, today, as a transition, got a feeling some players are going to be sold, at the moment we have strength in depth in virtually all areas except maybe up top

the cold light of day thought is that value wise, it could be argued, Osborne, Cash, Robinson and Worrall for example could be valued significantly higher than the new additions, basically if we sell only a few of the above as well a few of like Benalouane, Walker, Yacob and Yates, the squad value has actually decreased, 'value' being ability, age, potential etc

I know i suffer from it, over optimism about the new signings and taking for granted of the existing

I can't and maybe none of us can say at the stage as to how much stronger and improved we will be come the first game of the season

It is only extremely positive if you fanatically embrace the new players as being the saviours and a significant portion of the existing as being the weakness, though the reality might not be so clear cut.

Basically i don't know wtf i am talking about and where we are going until i see our first team sheet in Aug

Would like to see us invest quite significantly large in a new CF

No news is good news

Not so sure

I personally don’t think all the new signings will start the first fixture. I want them too out of pure excitement! But in truth the championship finds a lot of players out at first contact, seems to overwhelm them. So my prediction is this:

Muric
Dariwka
Benaloony
Figs
Robinson
Silva
Semedo
Lolley
Cash
Carvalho
Grabban

That’s nearer the mark.
Surprised to see so many putting Ameobi into starting X1.

RE: Our Starting X1 2019/20 - Paplane - 09-07-2019

Dawson's got to play.

RE: Our Starting X1 2019/20 - Kylos247 - 09-07-2019

Cash played really well under karanka, hope lamouchi can get the best out of him also.

RE: Our Starting X1 2019/20 - ThePromisedLand - 09-07-2019

Cash shines in a 3:5:2 ( as does Osborn )
Not sure the new guy favours that system?

RE: Our Starting X1 2019/20 - wassy04 - 09-07-2019

That interview I read said he did not rate 3-5-2 and would either be 433 or 4231.

So currently:

Muric
Darikwa Dawson Milo Robinson
Yates Silva
Lolley carvalho cash (?)
Grabban

Or

Muric
Darikwa Dawson Milo Robinson
Silva Yates carvalho
Lolley grabban ameobi

Not sure how you fit Carv in a 433, I’d be worried he’d be a bit deep

RE: Our Starting X1 2019/20 - ThePromisedLand - 09-07-2019

Muric
Zeffane Figs/Daws Milo Ribeiro
Semedo Silva
Cash Carvalho Lolley
Grabban
