RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - woody - 26-02-2020 We are capable of beating anyone in this league but unfortunately nearly as likely to draw or lose. Our only consistency has been against the top six or seven teams. So good luck to those who dare to predict. RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - PsychoStanleyStone - 26-02-2020 Easy win i reckon, we ain't had an easy for 10 years so maybe this is it, failing that a win, even a draw ain't the end of the world or even a loss if every other team in the top half lose, actually this game don't matter, it's like a free game, maybe experimental stuff that actually works or maybe Boro's situation is so desperate they resort to suicide football, either way, i can't wait RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - Plymouth red - 26-02-2020 We've gifted a few too many sides down near the bottom and if anything is going to cost us a playoff spot it will be games of this nature. Hopefully boro will come at us as the home side and we can pick them off on the counter. We've done that so well this season away from home RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - Mcforest - 27-02-2020 Here is hoping they play like they did against Leeds with nothing up top. RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - Duncan Mckenzie - 27-02-2020 Boro are on a shocking run. If we go a goal up I can only see one outcome. RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - ThePromisedLand - 27-02-2020 Could be a good time to play them. Possibility that Fry, Ayala, Roberts, Friend & Fletcher could all be out. They never really threatened and put pressure on Leeds though did they? I thought their passing was tedious, just a lot of huff and puff really but no cutting edge. Although, I was watching the Fulham game as well so missed large chunks of the game. I didnt reckon much to Leeds to be honest. They didn't play with the tempo and energy that they showed against us a few weeks back. Bamford missed his usual sitters but they got the win, which is what matters. The commentator said it was the type of performance and result a promotion team gets at this time of the season. He was right. They really do look like they've run out of energy and are scraping through the games. RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 27-02-2020 It probably won't happen but it wouldn't really surprise me if Woodgate was sacked before Monday. Boro are now fourth from bottom and level on points with Wigan who are third from bottom. RE: Middlesbrough - Nottingham Forest - ThePromisedLand - 27-02-2020 Fair enough Pap - I watched the Man City game & so I’m not qualified to comment. Gibson is quite loyal to him managers though Sniff and I get the impression that Woodgate is seen as one of the family up there. You'd think they have enough quality to be half decent so must be down to lack of decent coaching. Hull and Charlton both lost again last night. Either of them could be dragged into it if they dont get their fingers out. I'd bet on Boro finishing ahead of both. If they run out of energy... ...and some of Forest's players get a 'surge' as well as one or two re-finding their early season form (eg. Semedo...) Then that 2nd spot looks vulnerable to me. I'm still hopeful that WBA will wobble some more. They're not great either. The poorest top two in a while. Not that Norwich were great shakes last time around as this season (bottom Premier) shows. Put a mini-run together to pile on the pressure on the top two. SA. |
