view this game as a nothing to lose and overload the top end and apply a chaos theory alamo strategy at the back
do crazy things like have 3 players on the half way line when they get a corner
aim to overload areas of the pitch high up
give strict instuctions that not everyone frantically retreats when we lose possession and anticipate due to pre planned defensive clearances target specific coordinates
score some effing goals
as you can see, i am no expert, but just generally feel that our focus is predominantly defensive
let's go offensive, take a gamble, basically do what lowly teams have done to us
central defenders making overlapping runs down the wing, something like that
do somethings radically differant
lose 1 nil or 6 nil don't matter
get a couple of early goals reset to default and get similar game we have seen week in week out for a long time

A Fulham away type performance is what we need! I watched a chunk of Bournemouth vs Reading at the weekend and Bournemouth didn't look great at the back, were threatened by Reading on the break. The Sabri approach with a low block and breaking quickly might have been our best approach. But as Alf has pointed out we don't have some of the players that kept us firm defensively (Cash, Worrall/Daws, Watson), and we don't seem to be trying to replicate the style under Hughton.
Can't help but think if we just try to approach the game as we have recent matches we'll get beaten. Brooks can find space behind the midfield and punish us, Danjuma got inside his fullback to score one at the weekend and generally looked a threat. I've rarely seen a fullback so inept at tracking his wingers runs as Jenkinson, but Christie is little improvement so far. And then there's Solanke to worry about.
We might be able to outnumber them in midfield and stop their supply, or sit deep and play 3 forwards (one with pace...) and hit them quickly, but approaching it like we have against recent sides seems to be playing into their hands, so I think you may have a point in there somewhere PSS.

Please just don't get battered.
Even though a defeat would be crap, it's a tough game & wouldn't necc signal a relegation fight.
However, a drubbing would raise some real cause for concerns.

Despite me clearly being unhappy with Hughton I agree with a lot of what Alf says. (I don't like the idea of giving Hughton time when he is not doing what I want, and the idea of him shaping the squad in his image when that image is of 'cautious' football). But back to the Bournemouth match, I think we need to make a concession to the opposition in this one and change the approach, else we run a fair chance of conceding 3 or 4 which could affect us into the next matches.
