RE: Joseph Adrian Worrall - Paplane - 22-08-2019

I'm convinced it's Dawson that's making the difference to Joe's game.

Last season the team started to look really decent when Dawson got into the side and began to put in consistently good performances. And they he got injured and performances began to slide.

The blokes just an inspiration to all around him and there's nobody better for Joe to learn from.

There’s a reason Robinson keeps coming inside.
Charlton tactics. They oveloaded the right hand side of the field.
It was dealt with at half time with the changes and stopped being a problem.

It happened against Leeds too.

Robinson kept asking Sabri what he wanted him to do.

RE: Joseph Adrian Worrall - Marinakis Red - 22-08-2019

Worrall was outstanding last night, I'm one of his biggest critics but if he produces last nights levels consistently he will develop in to a cracking centre half.

Im certain Joe learnt a hell of a lot last year playing in the Champions league and Old Firm games, you cant beat that for experience.

The logic of the decision to loan him though and buy 3 new centre halves, none of whom are currently featuring in the squad for one reason or another, is another example of the financial illiteracy we seem to have regarding recruitment. Still not my money I guess.

It’s partly our money though isn’t it? How much do fans pay in ticket prices, and then it gets wasted on things like Benalouane’s high wages for 2.5 years because the old manager didn’t like Worrall so shipped him out temporarily. If they didn’t waste so much money they could cut ticket prices.

I’d suggest that it’s not financial illiteracy but poor recruitment and overall football strategy. The latest being to pay £2million for a right back that we don’t need on high wages when we have Cash adjusting well and an excellent prospect coming out of the academy.

Not quite what folks were saying about the wisdom of trusting Cash @ right back pre season though was it.
Hind sight...

Funny you should say that because if my info is correct then it was nothing to do with Worrall's football ability.

Karanka thought that Worrall had a billy big bollocks attitude so he decided to show him who was boss and bombed him out to Rangers. I have no reason to disbelieve it.

that is exactly what we want, especially in defence, Karankas defence consequently was pretty poor, welcome home Billy Big Bollocks, strut your stuff fella, Karanka had the attitude problem, well documented and ultimately flawed him from becoming truly successful

Jenkinson is a far better right back than Cash will ever be .
