Every club is always a work in progress, it never stops. Players come and players go, always have and always will.

So we must be doing something right because more often than not we have been in relegation battles in recent seasons.

There is no magic wand I'm afraid. Can I just remind everyone that we have been in the play off places virtually all season.

Get a f*****g grip.

We had an opportunity to go up for the first 3 seasons under Fawaz. Doesn't mean he was doing everything perfect.

Not asking for a magic wand, just a bit of common sense. Like don't spend 13m on someone who's only played 30 odd games.

My main point is that I'm not sure how we can credit the club for Burke's sale, when no one at the club now was involved with it.

I must have missed that. It's not just about where we finished in the league. The bloke almost put the club out of business for godsake.

FFS can we just wait until the end of January to see where we are squad wise before we start castigating everybody.

How could you miss being top 6 until the end of March 2014?  there was only a month or so of the season left.

What Fawaz did or didn't do off the pitch is totally irrelevant to the fact that Marinakis had nothing to do with the sale of Burke mate, so I've no idea how he can be credited with it.

Please don't mistake focusing on what we now need for castigating them. They rightly deserve criticism for some of inept & unsuitable signings they've made since taking us over. That standard needs to improve for us & the club to improve.

Where have I ever said that Marinakis had something to do with the sale of Burke?

Confused...

Just reading back through the thread the only person who mentioned Burke is DMA and even he didn't connect it with Marinakis in anyway.

Remember how much dross we had to get rid of in the summer and how many players we had to bring in. One window was never going to be enough.

A little more patience is required.

Amen.

No you chap, Derby my Arse above said it, then Garnett asked why we shouldn't give the club credit.

I responded pointing out you can't really give credit for a sale which happened with an entirely different setup here. Then you responded saying said setup nearly put us out of business.

Whether Fawaz did or didn't put us out of business has no baring on the fact that EM didn't sell Burke and shouldn't be credited for it.

Ok. If we sell chema and bring in this arsenal cb is our starting 11 improved?

He's played something like 7 times for arsenal and really not in favour. Struggled with injuries too. Is he better than Dawson and worrall?

We know Chema works, why risk it?

I'd sooner Chema stay.

Our success with Mediterranean based players is pretty much zero.

I don't think Chema wants to stay Alf.

His wife and family are back home on the Spanish coast.

Chema is in Nottingham freezing his bollocks off not playing any football and missing his family.

It is very poor Jock you are right. We can't deny that.
