RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 29-05-2026

EM was at a dinner last night for the European football elite.

It was organised by UEFA president Alexander Cheferin and PSG president Nasser Al Cubin.

EM was on a table with AL Mubarak (Man City), Laporta (Barcelona), Kroenke (Arsenal), Luis Figo and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

On the same table as City chairman. Do you reckon they held talks over Anderson?

Something like........

EM : 115

AL Mubarak : For Anderson ?

EM : No charges against your club.

AL Mubarak : Yeah, 50 points off start of next season

EM : Anderson can stay with us another season then

AL Mubarak : Ok how much

EM : 125 now or 115 in June 2027

AL Mubarak : 115 it is then

EM : Done.

I did say that I was still not convinced that Vitor was staying.

He is still favourite to be our manager next season but we are waiting for the outcome of the meeting with EM and co.

Nothing is sealed yet.

I think it is going on now these days.

EM was in Budapest for 3 days last week so I don't think it took place yet.

There is one coach that is now available, we were interested in a couple of years ago. It is Vincenzo Italiano

He is not the only one.

Maybe the manager question is for another thread, but right now, I’m hoping we stick with Pereira.

The players seem happy under him. We got some amazing results under him. And I just wish for some stability and not need to start all over again, again.

I’m hoping Marinakis comes to the same conclusion during his review.

I think this is an important point. Yeah at face value Silva (or whoever) might look like a more attractive proposition for EM but then we run the risk again of the players not taking to his or whoever's approach.

Keeping VP removes that risk entirely for the start of the season.

RE: Evangelos Marinakis And Co - Paplane - 01-06-2026

After the season weve just had (4 coaches) I just dont see a new candidate of any renowned stature, who's got other decent options, being prepared to join us now.
