I agree For those critical of lamouchi's style and by definition Hughton, We've got to remember that that style was what got us into the top four for prolonged parts of the season. Hughton I feel will build on it and will be able to use this strong squad to get us moving in the right. I'm not getting carried away but I feel we have a manager with the pragmatism and fortitude to push on. We shall see. RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Mcforest - 06-10-2020 So we have gone from a foreign manger who is defensive in style to a British manager who is defensive in style. Oh well at least we are consistent in our approach. Not that impressed or excited by this but never mind COYR and go smash this league Hughton. RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Plymouth red - 06-10-2020 By the way, I cannot remember but is the 20 minutes between lamouchi departing and Hughtons announcement quicker than the Mon departure and lamouchi appointment. They don't like caretaker managers do they? RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - JollyLolly - 06-10-2020 Why do Forest always do things on the cheap especially under the last few ownerships? When was the last time we went and poached a manager who was in work, we always revert to the un-employed register. There is NO football ethos to follow in this club once we get past youth level, we just lurch from side to side. CH will be gone by the end of the season if we have not achieved promotion and the whole process starts again. If we had stood back and thought is all through we could have identified a bright up and coming coaching team, dampened down immediate promotion prospects and started a process on solid foundations for a change! Just enough time for a quick cuppa between OUT announcement and IN announcement :D RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Jacksbadhobbits - 06-10-2020 Chris Hughton has a good record of getting teams promoted but is obvious the ownership and fan base are not willing to wait and build a side. If he doesn't get us promoted he is likely to get sacked at the end of the season. However, his record in the prem league is not that impressive and if he did manage to get us promoted I do not think he would be given much leeway and replaced. He will do well to be manager longer than Sabri. RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - BadDog - 06-10-2020 Hughtons last 4 seasons in the Championship 1st, 2nd, 3rd 4th. I would bite your hand off for 5th this year then. RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 29-12-2020 I have cleaned this thread up so can we now only use it the next time we are looking for a new manager. Cheers. RE: Next Manager The Runners & Riders - Sausage Roll - 25-01-2021 Now it looks like he's getting the boot from Chelsea I wouldn't be surprised if Marinakis considered Lampard for Forest. Absolutely no way! 1/ We have a perfectly good manager, 2/ He's not that good imo, 3/ We dont want to have to rename the club to be FL's Forest. |
