Just received a couple of texts from my Swindon supporting mate from the outside looking in, make interesting reading too so I thought I'd share.
Sounds like you have your own version John Sheridan. Grinds the life out of players until they just dont care. Same players would do well under a diff regime.
Your squad is so much better than Derby's and yet you go into Saturday as underdogs. Your team should hammer theirs. That is down to Hughton.

But it doesn't add to a hill of beans if Hughton still hasn't got his own squad in a year later.
I'm sure Brighton and Newcastle fans weren't complaining when they banged the goals in to get promoted out of this league.
Without recruitment, the task of being competitive will burdensome to rookie players or older players who barely make the grade (and didn't last time around.)
Until we go through the pain barrier and keep the manager through a transition period of clearing out the previous manager's squads and players the rinse and repeat cycle will continue with predictable results.
'Manager bad.' Yeah, yeah. We've heard that for 24 years.

But he saved Forest from relegation las season with some quality recruitment in Garner and Krov'. (and we actually had fullbacks then...)
Wouldn't it be better to keep the manager, give him his OWN squad and exercise some patience for a change? And ride this transition out with a safe pair of hands.
If we get quality players in, things can change fast. Nobody said transitions were pain free or the style of football would be great.
Quality players play good football.
But if we get someone new in? We risk a certain relegation as they changes for Forest usually mean we take half a season to get going. From where we are now, it could well doom us.

Now he has about a 50/50 hit rate with his infor but thought I'd pass on as it seems to be in line with the fact he's been given this long as manager. Seems like they want to allow him time with the squad once the window is over.

I'd hope that our CEO is too busy negotiating for players to take time to think about replacing the manager.

Hughton will get it right in time. But needs his own squad of players.
He's the only manager that hasn't been able to bring in permanent outfield signings out of the many recent managers under Marinakis.

I think regardless of our feelings towards the manager we just get behind him and the team. I am sure EM won't let current form go on too long but if they have decided to stick then as fans there's nothing we can do.

I find it all a bit strange. EM has usually pulled the trigger at this point. Signings are loans. Worrell has disappeared, Johnson hasn’t signed a contract.
The world is a different place regarding finances I understand that. But performances have deteriorated and personally I would say they haven’t improved in CH 50 games in charge.
Fans are falling out the whole atmosphere stinks. I may be totally wrong but was last years 14 signings one last push from EM?
Just an opinion that’s all.

I hear what you are saying SA and I agree but I fear that the vocal part of our supporters have invested too much into the "Hughton out" campaign to ever reconsider. Even if Hughton would win the next 5 games he would still be attacked and abused if we lost game number 6. I really don't see a way back. The atmosphere inside the WFCG seems quite hostile. It's almost like some people believe CH is losing on purpose. Abusive behavior is accepted and is spreading. I have to admit that I'm currently embarrassed to be a Forest fan and that is not because of results or the way we play but because of the "supporters" that we have and unfortunately those are a bit more difficult to get rid of then a manager.

We can afford sackings, there not included in ffp, Plymouth sacked 2 when they were in administration, there's a article somewhere if you Google it, only reason I can think he's not been sacked is the lack of signings, Johnson played 10 mins last weekend, you would think he would of started last night? I think he might be closer to a sale than we think
