What a truly strange club.

The amusing thing for me is they went from Brennan, to Bakayoko to Neil Maupay. That eventually is what will see them back at their true level. Players turning them down. Once it drys up and the quality they have want out. Down you go.

This gave me a good laugh this morning.

It's like everyone of their fans have small club syndrome

The thing I find is they've spent years tracking Brennan, they offered 35m. Why not just pay up and get the deal over the line if they were that bothered. They eventually offered 40m, would another 10m have really been out of their reach? Had they have offered 50m a month ago before Kane went, they'd probably have got him.

Yep, agree Wassy. They could've gone for it early in the summer amd Brennan might be a Brentford player now. Their problem is and will always be that no kid playing on the local park dreams of playing for Brentford.

They do have the London factor though in their favour.

Its a big factor for them, and probably the reason they are where they are
Take them out of London and they're a Rotherham or a Plymouth.

Those places must be a pretty hard sell!

Playing against one of the weakest sides in the league. Everton in big trouble

Everton had been running them ragged for the first 25 minutes

Both teams look better now theyve got a big number 9. Not much quality though on either side.
