Majority fans inside the ground, before and after in the pubs want a new manager in charge.

Er...yes.  *Blushes modestly.

But they'd be positive ones.  Or even handed ones.  (What's good for the goose...is good for the gander off field at Forest.)

Are temperature checks allowed for new CEOs?  eg.  'Is 1 fit outfield signing in three months good enough?'  Samba as no.1?  'Who's idea was it to start the season letting 4 LBs go and none in?'  Do we hang Hughton for the CEO's recruitment last year and this?  etc.  'Would you rather have Fawaz as owner?'  'Do we give credit to Marinakos/Ventroz for the new ground and academy status or rescuing Forest from bankruptcy?'  'Why are footballers paid so much to put me in a foul mood for losing on what they're paid...'

If you want them...your wish will be my command...

(If Hughton had 14 of his players and was rock bottom at Christmas, I'd understand. But we've been here before with many a manager. Until off field recruitment catches up with some of the 'very good' managers we've had...it will always be the manager's fault. Well done to Warburton, who, at QPR, has proven his point. Time is our friend and our enemy.)

SA.

And what about a new CEO?

Voted Out! Every match recently seems to be deja-vu, something has to change and looking at the stats it has to be the manager.

I think he's been royally shafted by those above him, as several other managers have before, but that doesn't mean he's the right man to take us forward either sadly.

If the club is gonna get him 5-6 quality players to give his methods a leg up then IN as we need to stay up. If it's not, and it's intent it to reshape things for a style Hoots doesn't use, then OUT as now's as a good a time as any to start the ball rolling.

I voted "OUT" simply because I feel that's the most likely path we'll walk now. And the sooner we crack on with it the better too.

Everything you've written makes sense, it doesn't take away from how harsh it feels though. Particularly when we do sign some players eventually and a new manager then gets an actual squad to work with.

Also, how damaging will it be reputation wise for sacking someone so high profile and giving him no support for his time here? Doesn't exactly make the job appealing.

Dane pulled a rabbit out of a hat last time at Barnsley, is he really going to be able to do the same again?

I couldn't agree more mate. I hate it and I hate this whole disposable culture which both society & football has embraced in recent years. Forest are the embodiment of a club taking big dumps all over it's own history by shafting managers like Pearce and MON with such short-termism, all for BS promises that the grass is greener.

But sadly the wheels are already in motion, and I can't see the club now stopping and saying "wait a sec Dane, leave that recruitment drive we've employed you for, and give this manager who has us 23rd with 0pts the players he wants instead".

It should have done that long ago. It probably couldn't because of Vrentroz bogging the club down with daft buys and a bloated wage bill, but I think Hoots will ultimately go down as another perfectly capable manager who inherited the poisoned chalice that is the NFFC managerial role, and who some fans will no doubt be touting as "shit" in several years time like they do every other manager who gets other clubs promoted, totally oblivious to the fact that it is the club which has been the problem.

I want him to just step away and look at the players he has and try something else as this whatever he is doing doesn't work. If he can't then he is not a good coach and needs to leave.

Who else are you expecting to play at left back or CM though? Cafu maybe the only option but he's not gonna have a large impact.

Are you saying he had no say in keeping them and that someone else made those decisions?

I would assume he agreed to let them go but was expecting a replacement by now. I'm sure he's not chosen to have no left back, that would seem a pretty odd decision.
