I hope I am wrong but are the owners now trying to force Karankas hand?

They saw the reaction of the fans when they were thinking to pull the trigger so now they are trying to force him out with yet another unncessary (in my opinion) appointment behind the scences?

Hope I am wrong but that is my take on it.

Have that feeling too... instead of sacking him they are putting him in a position were he has no power or authority ... he will end up (if he is not already), a coach ... no say on signings nothing ... if AK is ready to accept it or not...that is another matter...

is this negative? who knows ... maybe `his` signings didnt turn out to be value for money after all....and it is their money that is being spent not his ...

RE: Jose Anigo - the jock - 03-01-2019

if they are trying to force his hand its a really bad decision.

is there a need for all these people? allegedly dowling felt he didnt have the scope to do what he wanted, now there are 2 people hired.

RE: Jose Anigo - ThePromisedLand - 03-01-2019

Sincerely hope you’re wrong Sniffer but it’s difficult to put a different spin on this. Hope Gari & Jock are proved to be correct.

RE: Jose Anigo - Kranky - 03-01-2019

Why would we want this fella associated with our club. I don't like it one bit. The club is on a high at the moment and they go and do this.

RE: Jose Anigo - the jock - 03-01-2019

I haven't seen one positive comment about this guy.

Signed Al bad players from agent friends and messed up with deshamps.

Marseille fans have no idea how he managed to get this job

RE: Jose Anigo - Paplane - 03-01-2019

This appointment is probably the cause of all the goings on rather than the result of it.

Which manager, who previously had free reign to operate as he wished, would want a boss imposed upon him? Answer, none.

Im assuming AK's authority has been curtailed, he's resisted and very nearly been sacked as a result. This is an incendary situation now. The club is going in one direction with this new guy, and the manager, propped up by the overwhelming support of the fans, another.

This will not end well.

RE: Jose Anigo - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-01-2019

Did anyone see MOTD last night and the interview with Sarri from Chelsea. He said ne had no idea that they had just signed a £60M striker who was immediately loaned out again and then lamented that he needs another stiker himself.

I can see us going down the same route, we already suspect the portuguese lads werent Karanka’s choice and I cant see him having any greater say with this bloke pulling the strings. And thats just the recruitment side, who knows if he will be a help or hinderance or how well he will get on with AK generally. Reckon Cloughie would have put up with this nonsense?

RE: Jose Anigo - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 03-01-2019

If Anigo joins I can see Karanka walking (Pray to god I am wrong).

RE: Jose Anigo - the jock - 03-01-2019

i feel malta may be right here.

karanka a coach with little input on signings. if he is appointed i hope they detail what his role is.

this fella seems more hated than david platt here.

RE: Jose Anigo - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-01-2019

Im trying to find a glimmer of light here, was he just a useless manger at OM which is how their fans remember him but was OK as director of football? Surely he cant have been too bad to be there 10 years?

RE: Jose Anigo - ThePromisedLand - 03-01-2019

FWIW the continental model is for the head coach to coach & select first team with DOF responsible for player recruitment - nothing new there.

RE: Jose Anigo - Salvatore Matrecano - 03-01-2019

See my comment re Chelsea above. We are light years apart but the principle is the same when there is no joined up thinking between manager/coach and DOF.
