Sheer bloody poetry. Now we have the 'dream ticket' of MoN/Keane... THIS is our chance. SA. RE: Our Recruitment Policy - Alf - 15-03-2019 Some brilliant posts, from NG3 & Sniffer Dog in particular. Alarm bells rang for me both with Carvalho's & Soudani's signings. 16m those pair have cost us, SIXTEEN MIL. Between them they have less goals than Matty Cash. We've tried to blag it with players simply not up to it. The question should always be "how many top 6 teams would have this player in their first team?" If - like Soudani, Ansarifard, Dias, Hef etc. - the answer is "none" they shouldn't even be considered if promotion is the immediate objective. Now that's not to say I'm against players coming like Ansarifard or Dias who need time to develop, but the expectancy level has to be adjusted in that case. If MON is expected to develop players next season then he needs his contract extending by another 12 months in order to do that. Unless that happens, then he's got 1 season to get us up, development takes a back seat, and signing at least five top 6 players is priotity 1. RE: Our Recruitment Policy - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 22-03-2019 Ansarifard said in the Greek press yesterday that he has struggled to adapt to the Championship. He didn't expect it to be so tough. 99.9% sure he will be gone in the summer. RE: Our Recruitment Policy - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 28-03-2019 Lica, Pierra, Dias, Goncalves, Derbyshire, Djebour, Abdoun, Kapino, Bouchalakis, Ansarifard, Tachstidis. If we haven't learned our lesson now then we never will. We need a change of policy. RE: Our Recruitment Policy - Strawberry Avenger - 28-03-2019 Amen to that. SA. RE: Our Recruitment Policy - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-03-2019 Ive just been reading about Chuba Akpom, if you remember he played 7 games on loan here in 2015 and looked distinctly average. He subsequently played for both Hull and Brighton wothout ever making the grade. Now guess what, he is tearing it up for PAOK who are almost certainly going to win the Greek league. If ever there was proof that greek football is nothing like the Championship, average players look good there. No direspect to your homeland Sniffer! Its just the harsh truth.
