RE: Nottingham Forest v Hull - the jock - 23-10-2019 The Key Battle: Ben Watson v Kevin Stewart Hull City were poor across the board when beaten 3-2 at home to QPR on Saturday but it was the shortcomings in midfield that were perhaps most concerning. The Tigers will have to be better up against Forest and Grant McCann will look towards Kevin Stewart to lead the improvements. Stewart has been City’s most consistent figure in the middle of the park and is at his best when harrying opponents into submission. The experienced Ben Watson will not be easily flustered, though. He’s an ever-present this season and has won plaudits for giving Forest the control that has helped deliver a number of impressive results under Sabri Lamouchi. RE: Nottingham Forest v Hull - Paplane - 23-10-2019 I notice people are opting for Chema rather than Figs despite the fact that Chema's only featured a handful of times. I know Figs isn't as influential as Dawson but he's done well for us since he's been here, despite being in and out of the team. What's he done wrong? Figs isn't quite a monster and not quite mobile enough either, just an ok, standard, CB, just my opinion but in the heat of battle i have probably missed some of the sterling work Figgy has done RE: Nottingham Forest v Hull - Reds73 - 23-10-2019 (23-10-2019, 02:17 PM)the jock Wrote: The Key Battle: Ben Watson v Kevin Stewart Only 1 winner of that battle I’m afraid. and it ain’t the Hull player RE: Nottingham Forest v Hull - Strawberry Avenger - 23-10-2019 I'd like to see Sow along side Watson. Watson's star has shone brighter this season with Sow close by. The Coach has played his role in that transformation too. Older head. Experience. Along side the younger prime time power of the younger man. Balance. SA. I think we lacked a monster like Milo vs Wigan. And it cost us. Why play Fig' over Milo? Red 73. Any inside intel' on that one? My guesses are two fold. One. His face doesn't fit. Or two. He doesn't fit into how The Coach plays. 3. He's got an attitude problem. (ok, that's 3 guesses.) I really rated Big Ben and Milo. And certainly expected Milo to play this season, being the more composed of the two. For me, Milo is the best CH we have. Though our results haven't been as convincing without Dawson (AND) Sow. I thought Ben and Milo had become the long sought after MONSTERs or Holy Grail of CHs we'd been after for years. I'd had Worrall and Dawson behind them based off last season. But credit the latter two for becoming 1st teamers. But I don't see Fig as the natural partner for Worrall. (Hasn't Worrall had to shift over to left side to accommodate Fig'?) Fishing of answers. We'll see how we line up tonight. Chem' back in teh side? SA. He seems a powerful lad. Should be back soon. He's a massive miss. I wonder if he's got a shout of early contender for player of the season so far. SA.
