They have had just a one month window in january. What were you expecting exactly in 30 days in the middle of the season? For the record we managed to sign Garner, Krovinovic and Murray. True. ...and we added Cafu to the permanent signing list. Restored him to his more natural position and saw a decent partnership with Garner forged. SA. Agreed. SA. Brazil is not the manager Hughton is. Brazil is there to recommend player's Hughton will have the last say. Also perhaps Whiteman made it clear that he didn't want to sign for us. RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - zicorice - 23-04-2021 I'm boringly old school. I wait until I see them confirmed as signings before caring. I also believe in the age old mantra "if you keep signing players from the lower leagues, that's where you'll end up". Obviously the odd "gem" like Woany, but really struggling to think of the last time we signed a player from divisions below that has worked for us. Britt was it? Then again the league above hasn't always been kind to us either...... Then there's the foreign market...... Just sign half Barnsley team as Widdow suggests probably not that bad an idea afterall..... RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - Shipstone's 1852 - 24-04-2021 Barnsley punching well above their weight. If they miss out on promotion this season it would be no surprise to see them struggle again next season. Barnsley won't escape gravity indefinitely. SA. RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 29-04-2021 I will chuck a new name out there. A loan move for Tsimikas the Greek Left Back at Liverpool. RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - Jsmed - 29-04-2021 You reckon there’s a chance with that Sniffer? He’s quite good apparently, quick with a decent delivery? RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 29-04-2021 I think so yes. I've heard he will be made available for a loan move in the summer. RE: Player Suggestions For The 2021 Summer Transfer Window - Salvatore Matrecano - 29-04-2021 He cost the scousers nearly £12M so can only imagine it would be a loan. Really hasnt worked out for him there, he cant get a look in above Andy Robertson who has been bang average himself. Not sure the player would be too keen to drop down a level though but Oly history makes sense. On another point I cannot fathom how we have ended up with 4 left backs yet all are unsuitable and we all agree we badly need another one.
