Perhaps EM will do the right thing and swap Carvalho for Fortounis.

Is Fortounis leaving Oly?

Maybe, or maybe not. Didn't EM and Mendes have a massive fall out a couple of seasons back?

I sincerely hope that EM has learned not to trust Mendes, as he certainly shafted us with Carvalho, Dias and Goncalves, although Goncalves is now showing signs of improvement, sadly it didnt happen for us

Is Fortounis leaving Oly?

There is talk of him leaving yes.

Do you know the reason - is it him that wants out or is it the club/manager that wants him out?

Not sure anybody wants him out as such but there is talk of him leaving and he was left out of the starting eleven by the coach for some big games this season.

Understand - thanks Sniff!

Just noticed Almerua got battered in the first leg of their playoff game (Joao played 45 mins)

Seems unlikely that they would sign him if they don't go up.

So they hauled him off at half time or he didn't even make the starting eleven? Either way it doesn't sound good.

He was basically played that far back he was a cdm, everyone plays him anywhere but as a 10, i think he will be given the pre season with hoots, he needs a big cuddle, clearly that challenge at alferton has f****d with his head. You cant deny he had a first good season. Way better than krov

I take what you say on board mate but I disagree.

He was good in parts in his first season but he was poor in other parts of it. He did show some glimpses of what he's capable of to be fair to him.

I disagree too about the big cuddle and the challenge at Alfreton, I think he needs to man up and the sooner the better. He got fouled and he got injured so what? It happens all the time it really wasn't anything extraordinary. Just look at the injuries that player's like Cohen and Stone bounced back from.

Also I am sure that Krovinovic would have looked a much better player in that team that Carvalho played in under Karanka. I don't think it's fair to compare the two because they played in two completely different teams with different player's around them.

RE: Joao Carvalho - Paplane - 05-06-2021

Krov is more resilient. He gets clattered and knocked but generally can retain the ball. Carvalho's finishing is a bit better though.
