RE: Your Thoughts On The Current Nottingham Forest Manager - Salvatore Matrecano - 27-11-2021

I like the way Cooper wasn’t happy with last night too. It was awful conditions but we were literally passing to the opposition most of the 1st half and were under the cosh most of the time. In that circumstance recent managers would have told the team to shut up shop at half time and play for the draw. Cooper was clearly going for the win and we were pressing higher even before the sending off. OK so we only got a draw but we genuinely went for it although took 10 mins to find their rhythm after the formation change.
Yep its just a bit more composure and quality final third thats needed. Would add that there arent too many options on our bench that would change things up.

Steve Cooper - "I work for Nottingham Forest now and I'm falling in love with the club!"

I caught that comment and thought he answered 'the question' very well. A love letter to Forest fans.

...and he nailed Swansea with a parting gift as Forest torched Swansea on their home turf.

Swansea.  Not 'Captain America' anymore.  We owed them on of those performances.  The karma bus finally hit them.  Hard.

A breath of fresh air, this is much more than a honeymoon period too. Got to love Stevie Cooper.

Hes come in with a pre determined position to embrace the club, the players and the fans. Other manager's havent done that.

What i like about him is if things are not working he changes stuff. Play poorly in the first half and there's an immediate improvement in the 2nd. He also approaches games with different set ups so the opposition is always guessing even if the personnel on the pitch are the same ones.

And I like his formation where forward players are attackers rather than defenders playing higher up the pitch.

Hes got something going with us, I hope we can keep our players in January.

Stevie Cooper is magic, magic, magic.

Embracing the fans is a key part of long term success.

Hughton had a contempt for fans, as many a manager does have - which buys them little "relief" when things turn bad. By being one with the fans the fans will accept bad times and good...........Cooper will be given some slack when we have a bad run, which we will have at some point.

I bet you he doesn't.

Some of our fan base is terrible in wanting the manager out.

Yep I was thinking that too, although those guys seem to go quiet on here when we're winning

Cooper has earned the right to have some slack, the 4 draws in 5 recently was kind of a bad run and he did not get pelters. The guy will get time and rightly so. That desire to win games is so refreshing. Love the man.
