I've just attended. Plans hopefully (a word used a lot) go in before Christmas, then takes 18 weeks for planning permission to be approved, so (hopefully) Spring, and they would start work as soon as season finished.
I did forget to ask, what would happen if we are in play offs, but seem to recall the games are organised pretty quickly after the final match, so may lose a week or two.
Estimated 15 to 18 months to complete the main stand, work being done whilst season in progress. Not been decided where the temporary changing rooms will be. Probably the Brian Clough Stand, but could also be in the Trent end, where apparently there is a gym (I didn't know that)
The concourse will take up most of the current Car Park in front of the Peter Taylor stand, no plans for underground car park, so will be limited parking around the ground. Even the players will not be able to park there. They will have to park at the training ground and get a bus in from there.
In fact parking in Bridgford may struggle, and folk will rely on Public Transport (cannot understand why tram didn't go towards City Ground)
The main stand will have 4 levels and 3 tiers of seating. A lot of hospitality areas, and additional 10 boxes.
The plans do include two residential blocks, which are key to helping fund the work. Each block will have around 40 apartments.
Forgot to ask a few things like how many season tickets will be available next season, so if someone else is attending please ask.
Finally, looks like they have given up on the Bridgford stand, nothing included in the plans, and nothing going to be looked at till the new stand is in place and settled. Infrastructure and housing behind have been the red flags on that. Those plans would have meant an additional 3000 seats!
SO will not be the biggest stadium in the East Midlands - looking at 35,000 ( I am sure around 10/20 years ago or so our capacity was 36k) so biggest stadia angle will not be pushed anymore (kind of brushed under the carpet/grass) instead their now intent on building a World Class stand.

I think a new Main Stand which is world class will suffice for now. On and off the field it will be a huge stride forwards for Nottingham Forest.
35k (as an interim capacity) is hardly a disaster and any promotion to the Premier will just about soak that up. It will be more than adequate for life in the Championship should we not get promoted and cover the overflow for if we do. At least the ground will be packed if current business momentum is sustained. There's room to catch Leeds, Norwich, Derby, (Leicester?) and Sheff Utd/Wednesday or reach parity with them on attendances. Certainly the business momentum seems to be with Forest. 29k sell outs when the club has been 'static' from a business point of view since its exit from the Premier is quite remarkable. It does show that the new Regime really do know what they're doing...and that Forest really are a 'sleeping giant.' I cast one eye over to what's been done with Leicester and what Wilder done to get Sheff Utd promoted and in the Premier sitting (currently) quite pretty and all I think?
That can be Forest. Quite easily with the new ownership. They're not short of ambition.
The Bidgford Stand. It will require some innovation thinking and that can be addressed later.
The rest of the ground will be tidied up as well..?
So the 'New City Ground' will get a big lift with the new Peter Taylor Stand and some general tidying up eg. Concourse etc.
Long overdue. The old girl has been left to rot before this regime. Dirt, grime and faded paint. It looked out of date, tired and unloved. But it always had the romance and magic as you walk across the bridge...and peer into the ground.
A bit crazy when you think about the money that has been squandered on player's wages over the last 20 years. Could probably have a bought a brand new ground.
We just have to look at Olympiakos (which is stunning and shows what success and the new regime will bring...) which augers well for the kind of ground Forest will have.

Just back - a little underwhelmed if I’m honest ( but that comes with ‘over promising’ ).
Not much to add to Widdow’s summation other than:
- redevelopment confined to PT stand at this stage ( disappointed - BC stand as an example in need of urgent work to allow smooth entry/exit/movement & ability to eat/drink. Attract fans early. Retain post match. Enjoy profits currently drained by local hostelries ).
- boat clubs virtually unaffected ( only 1 building out of 4 to be demolished? )
- 2 x residential blocks are part of the development.
- healthy discussion took place whilst I was there re in-house catering & bars ( learn from Spurs initiative where for 5 hours pre/during/post game the ground is pretty full with fans eating & drinking at reasonable prices - can/will Forest learn from this & adopt at least some of it ).

The Bridgford Stand is Phase 2 of the re-development.
It hasn’t been shelved - it’s just that the planning permission is initially concentrating on getting Phase 1 done

BC stand will have to have cheaper tickets (than new PT) otherwise it will be empty.
It wouldn't be too hard to have a setup where some fans can get a pre/post match pint (and food). Just look how busy all the surrounding bars are and how popular the carpark bar (family zone) behind BC has been.

i haven't looked at any of this for a while, but, my hope is safe standing will relatively cheaply and easily increase capacity, this is all i am really interested in at the stage, i just wanna be able to get a ticket on the day if i fancy going to a game, that's it. I look at the EFL highlights on Quest and see all those grounds, many new stands, all through the leagues and all empty, i'll take the full tatty ground any day. .... oh yeh and the smoking section how's that coming along? i've given up on the topless barmaids.

Got to be honest, I think it looks 'kin awful. Mess of an outdoor shot which offends the eyes, really tacky 70's brown interior shots which look like something out of Anchorman which would house "Sex Panther".
Hope they're really early drafts.

The retro modern brown wood with pictures of the glory years seems in keeping to me. Adds a bit of warmth and nostalgia to the 'modern' (which can be...clinical and lack an anchor. i.e. flat pack anywhere. The IKEA-isation or Apple store chic clinical.) A clear reference to the time they were achieved. Whilst the rest of the hospitality has 'that' modern look. I'm fine with a bit of 'both.'
The exterior pattern of red and white bricks is a little bright and pattern-y. (Even the iconic Forest logo gets a bit lost in the translucent brick pattern.)
It's all very modern. And that can be challenging. I could get used to it. It's far better then the dated and tired ground Forest currently have. The modernisation reaches all aspects of the ground under this part re-development part refurbishment?
Pre-vis' is too give an idea of something and computer graphics can be a bit clinical. Ie. Bright and perfect. That's computer graphics and arch' vis' for you.
That said. I like the promise of it. And these visuals give that. A vision for the future. It's modern and forward thinking. Progressive. Yes. Challenging. And that can be painful. But Marinakos reign will be a 'no pain no gain' era. Forest have been stuck in the past.
I'd probably create a plainer area around the Forest Logo where the pattern bricks fade out or are less of them around the immediate area of the logo to let it stand on it's own...and that would give more impact to the rest of pattern elsewhere whilst letting the logo stand out.
If you were to offer me those pre-vis' now vs the tired ground? I'd take it. It's a 'brighter' future.
Overall. Good job on the pre-vis'. The fans have a feedback form on the website. And as Marin' says, 'You're invited to comment.'

Early days, I think. Is it finalised? There's still a bit more consultation to go and then planning submitted.
If it looked 'something' like this I'd be ok with it. There are worse fates. *Looks at the City Ground for the last 20 years.
As Forest say, this dwarfs all previous development at the City Ground. It leaves no part of the ground untouched. A long time coming.
It's all very exciting. It isn't dull. And challenging designs do that.
And the Peter Taylor stand shows that there's enough wriggle room to squeeze out more capacity.
