Just absent mindedly reading a column on The Athletic, Orstein on Monday (instead of working) and one of his comments was that "time is fast running out for Sabri to turn things around"

Pretty bad signs when a random national journalist predominantly focused on London teams is mentioning this. Based on this I think Cardiff is must win for Sabri.

I also wonder based on the recruitment this summer whether if we do change manager we'll follow a similar path and pick someone with championship experience

No owner should sack the manager without having a replacement ready. Clubs that sack the manager and then look for a replacement are poorly run.

Depends doesn't it. If the club have doen their research and identified their target prior to sacking the incumbent then fine.

Was that the case with Sabri? Or did we take him because he was available and linked to an agent we were doing business with?

I dont care how or why Sabri got here, just that imo he's done a fine job. That's all that matters, isnt it?

We did our research on Sabri. He was even offered the job before MON but he wasn't ready at that moment in time.

He's done okay. Never been convinced to be honest but it would be daft to sack him 3/4 games after he's spent the close season bringing his choice of staff/players in.

Any competent organization in the real world should identify 'key person risk' as they call it and research potential replacements just in case. Just as I'd expect us to have a list of players for each position even where we don't need one now.
