Don't let that get in the way of over egging a pudding. Considering him and Neco played the whole season at left between them last year.

So, uncomfortable question that I was debating last night. Would it be better to get knocked out of this early? On the one hand, it would surely increase our chances of survival having less matches, less injuries etc.

On the other hand, we might never get this chance again given our recent history. As SM pointed out the "well run" teams like Brighton, Brentford etc haven't even qualified. We've beaten Porto, drew with Betis, aside from Villa.we could legitimately have a proper run.

Would relegation and winning europa be better than 17th?

Fwiw, I think go all in on Europa and see what happens but I understand the opposite sentiment.

Mate Im gutted that we have thrown away what should have been a joyous season. Truth is on the evidence available we aren’t going to win the Europa or even get close to doing so. I think Fenerbahce will beat us comfortably unfortunately and we will be free to concentrate on our relegation battle.

£60 for the home leg feels toppy to me given the quality of football and the feeling within the fanbase.

Fenerbahce are nothing special.

We can beat them.

Then all of a sudden we are in the business end of the competiton.

Lets have a good proper go.

It's there to be won.

If we go into the home leg needing to win it ouright then we're going out imo. We dont have the tools to take the game to a low blocking opponent and beat them.

Just over ten days until we’re in Turkey and still no ticket information.

Turkish clubs generally sell tickets 4 days before a game, mental I know!

Just mindful that I’ve not booked a hotel yet!

It's not August.

Ticket info sent out 2337 tickets, we would do well to fill them you would think.

Check out the youtube vid from the Villa fan from their game a couple weeks ago. Tells you a lot of info, basically they didn’t have any trouble but were picked up by coach from the central square 5 hours before the game, no alcohol in stadium but did have food and drink, were held back 2 hours after game, got back off coach at 2am.
